Delafield is experiencing new life outside downtown Bowling Green
After decades of tough times, Delafield is starting to experience a revival. "The Delafield area is an old section of Bowling Green. It's an area that has had a lot of renovation and is growing and getting better," says Lloyd Ferguson, broker and auctioneer at Vetter City Real Estate, who has been in the industry since 1973. This neighborhood is just outside downtown Bowling Green and bound by the Barren River and rolling hills to the north. It has a history as a blue-collar community, with jobs available at nearby warehouses and factories, like the Houchens Industries facility. Residents know that Delafield has been a neglected community in the past, but investment from nonprofit organizations, community centers and renovated homes are contributing to its growth.

Several parks and natural sites provide plenty of room for fun. "It's rural the more you get away from town.
