Resort-style Boynton Beach community by GL Homes
Canyon Lakes is an upscale gated neighborhood in west Boynton Beach, on the edge of Palm Beach County’s agricultural reserve. “It’s built by GL Homes, one of the premier homebuilders in our area,” says John Neuman, Realtor with Re/Max Select Group and a veteran of more than 20 years in real estate. “What’s special about it is the fantastic clubhouse, with a pool, tennis courts and all, right at the heart of the community.” Canyon Lakes is the first of four communities built by GL Homes in the early 2000s, clustered around Canyon Town Center, a downtown-type commercial district. “It’s a really nice part of Palm Beach County, out in the suburbs off Lyons Road, where 20 years ago everything was farmland and now we have all these nice, amenitized communities,” Neuman says.

Early 2000s New Traditional single-family homes
Prices start at around $695,000 and go up to almost $2 million. “It’s a higher-end neighborhood, so over a million dollars is normal, which seems expensive, but it’s all relative. This is 20 to 30 minutes north of Boca Raton, so you get a little bit more for your money up here,” Neuman says. These New Traditional single-family homes have Spanish and Mediterranean-inspired exterior details and attached two to three-car garages, and range between three to six bedrooms. Many have backyard pools, vaulted ceilings and open floorplans.
