A Gateway to convenience

On the western outskirts of Boynton Beach and the edge of the community’s main commercial corridor, Gateway offers convenience in a centrally located suburban neighborhood. “I lived in Boca for eight years. Been in Boynton Beach for two years, and I love it,” says Lauren Bevans, a Realtor with Sutter & Nugent and a local resident. “Everything is around me. I’m always within a 3 mile radius of my house. The schools are good, and when you hit Gateway and Congress, it’s an explosion of restaurants and shopping along Gateway and Congress,” Bevans says. Boasting endless green spaces, sandy beaches and golf courses just a quick drive away, Gateway is a gateway to the best of both worlds.

Minimal and Spanish-style homes

Gateway consists of varying communities of ranch-style modular homes and communities of minimal traditional and Spanish-influenced properties. Townhouses, condominiums, and mobile home communities also dot the landscape. The median sales price for a single-family home hovers around the mid $500,000s, while a one-bedroom sits around the mid $100,000s. A three-bedroom, two-bathroom, 1,954 square foot single-family home in a gated subdivision will cost around $579,000 in Gateway. A lower price point, say from $98,000 to a little over $320,000, can land buyers anything from a two-bedroom, two-bathroom manufactured home to a three-bedroom, two-bathroom townhouse.

Boating, beaching, and golfing

Boaters and paddlers will be happy to hear that Pioneer Canal Park has a public boat ramp, perfect for slipping into the canal system. Folks can boat up north to Lake Osborne or head south to Lake Ida — both prime spots for freshwater fishing. At Boynton Village Park and Dog Park, a bronze statue of the late Officer Joseph Crowder’s K-9 partner sits, welcoming folks and their four-legged friends into the hub. Locals can also explore the white sandy beaches about 6 miles away at Ocean Inlet Park and Ocean Front Beach Park, while those who prefer to spend their afternoons on the range can head to The Club at Quail Ridge, Pine Tree Golf Club, and many more.

Community events on the waterfront

Gateway residents are a short distance from some of Boynton Beach’s most significant celebrations. Families and friends gather at Centennial Park & Amphitheater for the Boynton Beach Night Market in the summer. Here, locals can peruse a range of vendors showcasing local retailers, restaurants and services, and live music and games. Neighbors also gather for the annual Boynton Beach Holiday Boat Parade in December, where dazzling lights and decorations stand out along the night sky.

Getting around Boynton Beach

Less than 10 miles from the sandy stretches of South Florida’s beaches, the Gateway community offers convenient suburban living close to commercial areas and Interstate 95. South Military Trail sits to the west, while bus stops serviced by the Palm Tran are available along Gateway Boulevard and Lawrence Road. Boynton Beach also serves as a stop on the Tri-Rail, a commuter rail that runs from Mangonia Park to Miami. Bethesda Memorial Hospital is about 5 miles away in case of emergencies, while Palm Beach International Airport is 12 miles away for weekend getaways.

Essentials along North Congress Avenue

Gateway sits off the intersection of East Gateway Boulevard and North Congress Avenue, lined by commercial strips, local and franchise restaurants, grocery stores, and pharmacies. The nearest grocery store is Publix Super Market at Boynton Plaza, while ALDI and Walmart Supercenter are next door. The Boynton Beach Mall, a local staple since 1985, is also nearby, sitting just south of the C. Stanley Weaver Canal. The Shoppes of Boynton are home to a popular brunch spot – Keke’s Breakfast Cafe – and Miller’s Ale House for a drink after work. Another favorite is Guarapos Cuban Cuisine for authentic Ropa Vieja or mouthwatering Cubano Sandwich.
