Centrally located enclave of private, gated communities
White fences hugged by sprawling cypress and palm trees wrap around private and gated communities in Manor Forest, a suburban enclave just 3 miles from downtown Boynton Beach. The neighborhood, often called Fox Hollow by locals, was developed between the 1980s and 2000s, offering a quiet place away from the city but not so far away as to be inconvenient. Actually, according to Realtor Joel Sanchez with Fidelity Realty Advisors, Inc., the neighborhood’s proximity to everything is one of its main draws. “You’ve got shops and restaurants, and you’re maybe 4 miles from the beach,” says Sanchez, who’s been selling in the area for 6 years. The community is also about 4 miles from Interstate 95, making it a popular option for city commuters.

Proximity to I-95, S. Military Trail
The neighborhood is bordered by South Military Trail, a busy arterial road connecting Broward and Palm Beach counties. Something to keep in mind is that it can get quite noisy, particularly during commuting hours, but privacy walls wrapping around the communities help to reduce the sound. The neighborhood is also close to I-95, making it easy for commuters to head into bigger cities like West Palm Beach or Boca Raton, 15 and 18 miles away, respectively. Residents here largely depend on cars to get around, but public Palm Tran buses are also easily accessible, picking up all along each of the neighborhood’s through roads. Palm Beach County Park/Lantana is the closest major airport, offering regional flights and often taking overflow traffic from Palm Beach International Airport. They are about 3 and 13 miles away, respectively.
A variety of homes built between the 1980s and 2000s
Manor Forest is made up of several gated and private communities filled with single-family homes, townhouses and condos. Single-family options here range from small vinyl-sided villas with front garden beds overflowing with tropical plants to three- to five-bedroom minimalistic ranches and Mediterranean builds with arched entryways or second-story balconies. Overall, the market in Boynton Beach “is holding up pretty well,” says Russell Moss, a Realtor and Owner of Moss & Company Realty, Inc. He’s been selling in the area for over 30 years. By this, he means that, except for Boca Raton and Delray Beach, homes here tend to be more affordable than those in other nearby cities. Smaller homes tend to sell for $300,000 to $500,000, while larger builds can eclipse $730,000. Condos and townhouses have a slightly wider price range, with one- to two-bedroom units built in the mid-1980s starting around $230,000 and renovated ones going for more than $550,000.

Activities for folks of all ages at Meadows Park
There are several popular parks just outside of the neighborhood. Meadows Park, about 3 miles away, is one of the most popular. Throughout its shaded grounds are amenities for folks of all ages, including a playground, pickleball and tennis courts and a clubhouse. There are even exercise stations where many residents work out daily. Also popular is Knollwood Park, a small pocket park with a walking path that loops around a large, beautiful lake. For an even greater variety of outdoor activities, locals flock to West Boynton Park and Recreation Center, about 5 miles from the community. Featuring both indoor and outdoor facilities, this park offers the chance to play just about any sport you can think of. The multipurpose fields are ideal for soccer or football games and the tennis and pickleball courts allow neighbors to engage in some friendly competition. Baseball fans can practice their swing on the park’s diamonds or watch the Boynton Beach Buccaneers, a semi-professional collegiate team, play at Harry Gribbon Field.

Grocery store, local eateries at Aberdeen Square
Manor Forest is mostly residential, but there are plenty of shops and restaurants within a three-mile radius of town. Aberdeen Square is one of the most popular shopping centers in the area, housing a Publix and several local food spots. Residents rave about Natuurlik, a vegan Jamaican eatery established as a food truck in 2017 by owners Antoinette and Mark Atkinson. In 2021, however, the couple decided to open a brick-and-mortar restaurant, which has exploded in popularity because of its variety of vegan options that pack a powerful punch. PR Bakery is a popular eatery on the other end of town. Despite its name, this beloved Puerto Rican spot sells a lot more than baked goods. Its moderate menu is filled with options for meals throughout the day, including breakfast tostadas and plantain sandwiches for lunch. Other nearby shopping and dining options include a Walmart Supercenter, Aldi and Boynton Beach Mall, which has over 115 retailers and food vendors.
