Families gather in a Tulsa suburb
Country Aire Estates has polished its reputation for community engagement over several decades, making it one of the most established subdivisions in the southeast Tulsa suburb of Broken Arrow. Considering this, it's no wonder that the neighborhood was a 2019 finalist in Reader's Digest's "Nicest Places in America" contest. “It’s centrally located and family-oriented,” says Alli Hayes, Realtor with Chinowth & Cohen. “People are walking their dogs, riding their bikes, they have little neighborhood get-togethers. And you’ve got a good mixture of property owners and renters.” The neighborhood also benefits from being just minutes from the Rose District, Broken Arrow’s arts and entertainment sector.
Country Aire Estates is located East of Garnett between Kenosha and Houston Street.

Brick-accented homes in various shapes and sizes
People began putting down roots in Country Aire Estates in the late 1970s. As its popularity increased, housing demand grew, leading to a construction boom in the ’80s and early ’90s. Today, tidy ranch-style houses are typical in the eastern half of the neighborhood, giving way to two-story Craftsman-style builds on the western side. Many homes feature brick construction or accents and driveways and attached garages are standard features, minimizing the need for street parking. Wide bands of grass separate the paved sidewalks from the roadways, and lot sizes typically measure under a quarter acre. Single-story ranch houses sell for between $200,000 and $275,000, while larger Craftsman-style homes cost between $300,000 and $450,000.

Breathe deeply at Country Aire Park
Country Aire Park occupies eight acres in the center of the subdivision. Young trees form a ring around the green space, which features lighted tennis and basketball courts, sand volleyball court and a 1-mile walking trail. Two picnic pavilions sit adjacent to the tangerine-and-turquoise play structures, which feature nifty climbing equipment and separate areas for youths and toddlers. There’s even a pool with a climbing wall and waterslide, typically opening the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend to kick off a summer of fun. The nearby “Tot Lot” caters to the youngest family members, with toddler-centric play areas, a small stream and benches that make it easy to watch the kids. For more laid-back recreation, anglers can try their luck at Buford Park’s small fishing pond while taking in views of the surrounding fields and trees.
