Country Aire Estates
Suburban Neighborhood in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma
Wagoner County 74012
Brick-accented homes in various shapes and sizes
People began putting down roots in Country Aire Estates in the late 1970s. As its popularity increased, housing demand grew, leading to a construction boom in the ’80s and early ’90s. Today, tidy ranch-style houses are typical in the eastern half of the neighborhood, giving way to two-story Craftsman-style builds on the western side. Many homes feature brick construction or accents and driveways and attached garages are standard features, minimizing the need for street parking. Wide bands of grass separate the paved sidewalks from the roadways, and lot sizes typically measure under a quarter acre. Single-story ranch houses sell for between $200,000 and $275,000, while larger Craftsman-style homes cost between $300,000 and $450,000.Breathe deeply at Country Aire Park
Country Aire Park occupies eight acres in the center of the subdivision. Young trees form a ring around the green space, which features lighted tennis and basketball courts, sand volleyball court and a 1-mile walking trail. Two picnic pavilions sit adjacent to the tangerine-and-turquoise play structures, which feature nifty climbing equipment and separate areas for youths and toddlers. There’s even a pool with a climbing wall and waterslide, typically opening the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend to kick off a summer of fun. The nearby “Tot Lot” caters to the youngest family members, with toddler-centric play areas, a small stream and benches that make it easy to watch the kids. For more laid-back recreation, anglers can try their luck at Buford Park’s small fishing pond while taking in views of the surrounding fields and trees.Peters Elementary from Pre-K to 5th
Peters Elementary School’s central location allows most neighborhood students to walk to class. Next, they’ll funnel into the Union Public School District’s 6th-7th and 8th Grade Centers before attending Union High School. All these schools have a Niche grade of B, except for the high school, which receives an A. Depending on their address, some kids might attend schools in the Broken Arrow district instead. The ride to the Rose District
Broken Arrow’s Rose District offers more entertainment and dining options 3 miles away. The nearest major highway, Route 64, allows commuters to make the 15-mile drive to downtown Tulsa. The highway also offers a convenient route to Tulsa International Airport, 15 miles north.Retail therapy at Redbud Corners
The shopping plaza at Redbud Corners, near the junction of West Kenosha Street and North Aspen Avenue, is the neighborhood's primary retail and dining hub. Shoppers browse through movies, music and video games at Vintage Stock or comb the racks for women’s clothing at Cato Fashions. There’s also a Walmart Supercenter nearby for groceries and household essentials. Fast-food joints are abundant, ranging from Jimmy John’s and Taco Bell to Jack in the Box and Bento Asian Diner. Sushi, specialty coffee and boba tea spice up the offerings at All About Cha. When cravings for nachos and burritos strike, El Viejos Mexican Grill is down the road.
