Trinity Gardens, an area with proximity to parks, shopping and Minneapolis
Trinity Gardens has tree-lined residential streets and various open green spaces, about 12 miles north of Minneapolis. The neighborhood is part of the suburban city of Brooklyn Park and shares many features with nearby communities, such as the Edinburgh Golf Course. Trinity Gardens also has direct highway access, connecting commuters to Minneapolis and shopping and dining areas. “[The city] was set up with neighborhood parks you don’t see from the streets, with places for kids to play so you don’t have to sit in the house. You get out and get your recreation not far from home,” says Tom Walters, a local Realtor with The Walters Group at Edina Realty with over 40 years of experience.

Parks with skating areas, athletic parks and the Edinburgh Golf Course
Paved trails branch off residential streets and travel to Trinity Gardens Park, a green space at the neighborhood’s center. The park has a playground with various slides, balancing obstacles and swings. Nearby, the Brooklyn Park Skatepark features ramps and rails. The Brooklyn Park Community Activity Center includes an indoor ice arena that recreational hockey leagues rent out. A walking path loops around the rink and is free to use. Single-day and 30-day passes are sold to access the center’s fitness center; meanwhile, its racquetball and wallyball courts are rented out hourly. Nearby, the Zane and Noble sports parks have baseball, softball and soccer fields.
Edinburgh Golf Course is a public course about 2 miles away. “It was just a huge development project in the 1980s, and it’s a very high-quality golf course. It’s not a long enough course for the men's tour, but the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) previously stopped there,” says Jon Perkins, a Realtor with RE/MAX Results with over four decades of experience. “The Edinburgh clubhouse looks like a Scottish castle. Most high schools in the area will have annual team parties there, and you see many weddings there.”
