Finally, because Burnside Township is in the “thumb” of Michigan, locals enjoy waterside fun at Lake Huron. Saginaw Bay is about a 31-mile drive from Burnside Township, making for a perfect weekend trip to catch the beautiful water views.

Ben’s Supercenter in Brown City is a great supermarket for residents in Burnside who need to restock their pantries. There’s also Pineberry Shoppe, a home décor shop that stands out because of its location. “It’s just this store in the middle of nowhere with a lot of cute stuff," Blanton says. "Pineberry Shoppe is a diamond in the rough."
