Miramont is a stand-out country club community, not just in the Bryan/College Station area but throughout Texas. The community was built in the early 2000s, and its reputation precedes itself as one of the most prestigious in Brazos Valley. Among the many amenities that being a member offers is access to the 22-hole championship course, as well as sports courts, a fitness field and several restaurants. Miramont's stately homes and state-of-the-art clubhouse are some of the many things that draw potential residents in. "It's definitely the most prestigious clubhouse and golf course in the Bryan/College Station area," says Mike Green, a real estate agent with Keller Williams Brazos Valley who has lived in the area for over 25 years.
Miramont Country Club
The 93,000-square-foot country club is Miramont’s centerpiece, serving as a hub for members to enjoy all that the club has to offer. Membership is only allowed by invitation from current members in good standing, but homeowners don’t have to be members to live there. "The clubhouse is one of the most elegant in the country," Green says. Of the many amenities throughout Miramont, is the 22-hole, Robert Trent Jones II-designed golf course. "It's been one of the top private golf courses in the state for a while," Green says. The course was ranked as one of the top golf courses in the state by Golf Digest in 2017. The club offers more than golf, though, as social events like a Memorial Day pool party and Easter Brunch are held throughout the year.
Custom estates on spacious lots
Custom estates and traditional brick homes are spread out on wide, sidewalk-lined roads throughout the community, and there are some homes in gated subdivisions as well. House prices in Miramont are higher than in surrounding neighborhoods, typically ranging from $730,000 for contemporary golf course properties up to $2.3 million for modern estates. Prospective homeowners have the chance to build their dream home with lots for sale that have recently sold between $140,000 and $180,000. There is an abundance of newly built homes in the area along with houses built in the early 2000s that still have great curb appeal. "They're still growing," Green says. "There's lots for sale throughout the neighborhood, there's definitely room to grow."
Students walk to class at Houston Elementary School
Kids in the neighborhood can walk to class at Houston Elementary School, which received an A-minus grade on Niche. Other Bryan ISD schools are close by after graduating from Houston Elementary, including B-rated Rayburn Intermediate School and Stephen F. Austin Middle School, which received a B-minus grade. Bryan High School, home of the Vikings, received a B from Niche, offering a two-way dual language program, which helps students become bilingual in English and Spanish, among many other academic programs.
Fine Dining at Il Portofino and chowing down on barbecue at Fargo's
Miramont's Country Club has four restaurants, including casual meals at The 19th Hole or fine dining at Il Portofino. Texas Frontage 6 Road, less than a mile down the road, is lined with retail stores, chain restaurants and local shops. Miramont's location near the midpoint of Bryan and College Station means residents can enjoy the best of both sister cities. Willie's Grill is a local favorite, serving filling burgers and seafood favorites like their fried catfish or catfish Po' boy basket. For locals who are hankering for barbecue, Fargo's Pit BBQ offers sizeable portions of barbecue, so don't forget to grab some peach cobbler for dessert. For groceries and daily essentials, Target is just minutes away in the Bryan Towne Center, and Kroger is a little way down Texas 6 Frontage Road.
Great location near the midpoint of Bryan and College Station
Texas 6 Frontage Road and the Earl Rudder Freeway are just minutes away from the community, but residents can use local roads to get to downtown Bryan, just 5 miles away. Miramont residents are also just 6 miles away from seeing their beloved Aggies play at Kyle Field. Easterwood Airport, set just 8 miles away from Miramont, offers commercial flights to Dallas/Ft. Worth.
Spend the day outdoors at Austin's Colony Park
Morning joggers and dog walkers frequent the sidewalks around the community for daily exercise, but there are other options for outdoor recreation close by. Austin's Colony Park invites locals to wander through its scenic nature trail that stretches just over a mile, traveling through a forested landscape. The pickleball court and disc golf course are popular with locals, and the pavilion is a nice spot for an afternoon lunch after a day of play. Sam Rayburn Park is just a few miles up Texas 6 Frontage Road and is home to a full-sized track and basketball court.
