Traditions Country Club
Traditions Country Club
If Traditions’ private country club crowns the neighborhood, the 18-hole, Jack Nicklaus-designed course is the crown jewel. Golfers all around College Station rave about the course, which has natural creeks, wide fairways and bunkers for added difficulty. However, golfing isn’t the only amenity the club offers: members can hop in the junior Olympic lap pool or grab a meal in the clubhouse. The club offers several memberships that both residents and non-residents can apply for. "All homeowners in The Traditions must join the country club at a social membership level. If they want to upgrade their membership there are wonderful opportunities for homeowners who golf or play tennis.” says Jennifer Fredericks, a broker associate with Inhabit Real Estate Group with 27 years of experience in the Bryan/College Station area.Stately contemporary homes and golf course properties
After a round of golf, residents retire to stately homes along quiet, sidewalk-lined streets. “It’s mostly custom homes,” Fredericks says. “Many of the homes in the neighborhood are custom designed and built, although there are builders who are building lovely spec homes as well. Available properties range from villas and casitas all the way up to estate homes on spectacular golf course lots. There are many options for a variety of buyers.” Several subdivisions provide a variety of housing options, as well as plots of land for residents to build their dream home. House prices usually start at $600,000 and can reach up to the multi-millions for spacious homes overlooking the greens. Prices are typically dependent on square footage, as homes on the lower end range between 2,400 and 2,700 square feet, while some homes stretch out to 4,200 square feet.Take a walk through nature at Texas A&M University Research Park
Many residents get their daily exercise by walking along the paved walking trails in the community, but the community is also just 3 miles from the expansive Texas A&M University Research Park. The park stretches over 40 acres and has scenic trails and ponds ideal for quiet nature walks or a morning jog. The 18-hole disc golf course challenges beginners and experienced players alike with several water hazards and various distances between holes. Villa West Park is a little closer to home, boasting many outdoor amenities, including a play area that children can spend hours on. The park’s outdoor pavilion and grills make it a popular spot for birthday parties and weekend parties.Traditions’ kids go to schools in the Bryan Independent School District
Kids living in the Traditions community will head to class at Branch Elementary School, part of the Bryan Independent School District, with a B grade from Niche. Jane Long Intermediate School teaches students until sixth grade, followed by Stephen F. Austin Middle School, both earning B-minus Niche grades. Bryan High School, home of the Vikings, offers a dual language program and International Baccalaureate classes, among other academic programs. The high school has a competitive athletics program that consists of an array of sports, including the football team that clashes with A&M Consolidated High School in the Crosstown Showdown. The high school earns a B grade from Niche.Catch an Aggies game in the bustling Northgate District
Residents can grab daily essentials from Walmart on Harvey Mitchell Parkway, which also has several fast food options. A few miles up the road, in the lively Northgate area, locals can enjoy the rooftop of The Corner Bar & Grill to enjoy good drinks, pub grub and good company. Dixie Chicken has been a staple in Aggieland since 1974, standing tall as a go-to for a filling burger and Tijuana cheese fries with a cold pint of beer. There are plenty of bars that locals flock in the area, especially on game days. When night time rolls around, Good Bull Icehouse is a popular spot for either relaxing on the bottom floor or dancing the night away on the top floor.Harvey Mitchell Parkway and getting around the Bryan/College Station area
More dining options and local shops are just 7 miles away in Downtown Bryan, but the community’s location at the crossroads of Bryan and College Station means nothing is too far away. Easterwood Airport is just 2 miles away, but residents won’t have to worry about any flyover noise from incoming commercial flights.
