The community is signified by its mature trees and spacious homes on large lots. “There’s a lot of options for first-time homebuyers, mainly because of the great price points,” says David Shellenberger, a broker associate with The Shellenberger Team brokered by Keller Williams Realty. Shellenberger is a long-time Aggieland resident with over 15 years of real estate experience. Though the community only has a little over 100 homes, it has been an established part of Bryan since homes were built in the 1970s.

Brick traditional homes on large lots
Housing options in Westwood Estates mainly consist of single-family homes among towering, mature trees. Most roads in the neighborhood end in cul-de-sacs and long driveways, though sidewalks are scarce. Prices range between $300,000 and $480,000 depending on lot size and any renovations made to homes built between the 1970s and ’90s. Most homes sit on large lots, some stretching over half an acre. “I wouldn’t say all of the homes there are owner-owned,” says Shellenberger. “It’s not really close to Texas A&M, but it’s close enough that there are a fair number of students or investors buying there to bring in students.”
