Fox Creek
Gated communities of single-family and manufactured homes
The neighborhood features the Reserve at Fox Creek, a gated community of manufactured homes for seniors. Prices range between $120,000 and $160,000, and residents can take advantage of a community fitness center and pool. Several 55-plus communities are scattered throughout the neighborhood, like Fox Creek Sanctuary, where people get access to a pool, spa and barbecue area. The rest of Fox Creek consists of ranch-style houses from the mid-2000s costing between $280,000 and $600,000. “Most homes are fairly new and weren’t built until the late 1990s or 2000s,” says Briesemeister. Single-family houses have Mediterranean touches like tile roofs and stucco facades, and they sit close together on dead-quiet suburban desert roads. Mountains are visible in the distance. Homes have driveways, multicar garages and room for RV parking, and neighbors favor xeriscaping over grassy lawns.Close to Bullhead City Rotary Park
Besides gathering spaces within gated communities, Fox Creek has no parks of its own. But residents are just 5 miles from the massive Bullhead City Rotary Park, where kids play on lighted baseball, football and soccer fields and neighbors gather for tennis, pickleball and basketball games. The 300-acre park has a disc golf course, a lighted skate park and a dog park, and neighbors can launch their boats or play sand volleyball at the beach. Kids can visit Scooters Family Fun Center 3 miles from the neighborhood to play in the arcade, ride go-carts, play mini golf and swing at the batting cages.Dinner and drinks at Wild Roadrunner
People eat lunch and dinner at Wild Roadrunner Restaurant, a popular spot to watch games on one of many TVs. The menu features American classics like burgers and fries, plus a full bar where cocktails are served in pint glasses. Sa-Bai Thai Bistro is a relaxed spot just 3 miles from Fox Creek, and people go there to eat pad Thai and spring rolls in one of the small wooden booths. Mohave Steakhouse has large cuts of beef, pork chops and baked potatoes in a dimly lit atmosphere, and shoppers can head to either Walmart or Target, both located 3 miles from the neighborhood. Groceries are available at Smart & Final, 4 miles away. “The neighborhood is largely residential, but everything you need is within 10 minutes,” says Briesemeister.Diamondback Elementary is popular with residents
Kids in Fox Creek attend the Bullhead City School District, beginning at Diamondback Elementary, which has a C-plus Niche rating. “Diamondback is regarded as one of the top schools in the district, and when we moved, we made sure our kids could still go there,” says Tara McMullen, Bullhead City local and agent at Premier Executives Real Estate. Fox Creek Junior High and Mohave High School both have C grades.Commuting on Highway 95 to Bullhead City and beyond
Bullhead Parkway intersects the neighborhood and provides access to Bullhead City 6 miles north. Locals can take the road 2 miles to Highway 95, which runs 100 miles north to Las Vegas and Harry Reid International Airport. The Bullhead Area Transit System has two bus stops in Fox Creek.
