Homes on the golf course from the mid-2000s
Homes in Laughlin Ranch are mostly ranch-style houses costing between $360,000 and $700,000, with properties with a golf course view being on the higher end. Development has come and gone in spurts since 2006. “When they first started in the mid-2000s, they were building around the clock seven days a week, but then everything crashed in 2008,” says Galvane. “About six years ago, things started to pick back up, and the building hasn’t stopped since.” Stucco facades and tile roofs are popular in these homes. Properties sit on quiet streets that don’t feature sidewalks. While most homes don’t have grass yards due to the climate, many have private pools in the backyard. There’s not much elbow room between homes, as lots are arranged close to one another.Dining at The Ranch Bar & Grill
The club is also the only place for residents to dine in Laughlin Ranch. The Ranch Bar & Grill features lunch and dinner seven days a week, with burgers, wood-fired pizzas and steaks. On Sunday, the restaurant also has a brunch menu. The restaurant has a modern, western vibe with an oak bar and leather chairs. “It’s a really nice restaurant, and they’ll have bands come in when the weather gets cooler and play on the patio on the weekends,” says Galvane. Residents can head 5 miles into Bullhead City to eat at the famous Bullhead Belle. The restaurant is on the Colorado River and in a repurposed 65-foot mock paddle wheel boat. Diners sit on the boat, under the patio’s string lighting and have a view of the river while enjoying classic American fare. Shopping is done at the Sam’s Club off Highway 95. Retail shopping can be done at the Mohave Crossroads Shopping Center, 9 miles down the road, which features a Target, Kohl's and more.Laughlin Ranch Golf Club, with a pool and spa
The Laughlin Ranch Golf Club is a Par 72 course, officially opened in 2004 that's garnered many accolades. The course offers views of the Black Mountains while the club has a pro shop and extensive practice areas. In addition, the club has an outdoor pool, a fitness center, men’s and women’s sauna areas and a full spa with massage and salon services. The neighborhood is also just 5 miles from the Colorado Heritage Greenway Trail, a 13-mile hiking and biking track that crosses the Colorado River into Nevada. Rotary Park is 7 miles away, and the 300-acre park is home to youth baseball, soccer and football games. The park features a 1.2-mile-long beach with access to the Colorado River, boat launches and fishing piers.Access to Highway 95 and Las Vegas
There is no public transportation in the neighborhood, so a car is necessary. Locals can quickly reach Laughlin by taking Bullhead Parkway 5 miles west across the Colorado River. Las Vegas is 100 miles up Highway 95, and hosts the only major airport in the area.Bullhead City School District
Kids in the area head to the Bullhead City School District, beginning at Sunrise Elementary School. Sunrise Elementary has a C-plus grade on Niche and an 18-to-1 student-teacher ratio. Fox Creek Junior High and Mohave High School both have C ratings. Juniors and seniors at Mohave High School have the ability to enter a work release program, which allows them to miss a period of schooling each day to earn valuable experience in the workforce.
