Gated community living on a golf course

Laughlin Ranch is a gated community centered around the Laughlin Ranch Golf Club in Bullhead City, which also features a pool, spa, restaurant and much more. “It’s really a lifestyle that you just don’t find in other communities out this way,” says Candice Galvane of RE/MAX Five Star Realty, who has over 250 sales in the area. “It feels luxurious, and the views are amazing. It’s where all the kids come to take their homecoming and prom pictures.” Residents will need to join the Laughlin Ranch HOA, which gets them discounted rates at the golf course, pro shop, restaurant and spa. The neighborhood is located 5 miles from the bright lights of the casinos in Laughlin, Nevada, which are visible from many of the homes. The neighborhood has a 1 out of 10 CAP Crime Index score compared to the national average of 4.

Homes on the golf course from the mid-2000s

Homes in Laughlin Ranch are mostly ranch-style houses costing between $360,000 and $700,000, with properties with a golf course view being on the higher end. Development has come and gone in spurts since 2006. “When they first started in the mid-2000s, they were building around the clock seven days a week, but then everything crashed in 2008,” says Galvane. “About six years ago, things started to pick back up, and the building hasn’t stopped since.” Stucco facades and tile roofs are popular in these homes. Properties sit on quiet streets that don’t feature sidewalks. While most homes don’t have grass yards due to the climate, many have private pools in the backyard. There’s not much elbow room between homes, as lots are arranged close to one another.

Dining at The Ranch Bar & Grill

The club is also the only place for residents to dine in Laughlin Ranch. The Ranch Bar & Grill features lunch and dinner seven days a week, with burgers, wood-fired pizzas and steaks. On Sunday, the restaurant also has a brunch menu. The restaurant has a modern, western vibe with an oak bar and leather chairs. “It’s a really nice restaurant, and they’ll have bands come in when the weather gets cooler and play on the patio on the weekends,” says Galvane. Residents can head 5 miles into Bullhead City to eat at the famous Bullhead Belle. The restaurant is on the Colorado River and in a repurposed 65-foot mock paddle wheel boat. Diners sit on the boat, under the patio’s string lighting and have a view of the river while enjoying classic American fare. Shopping is done at the Sam’s Club off Highway 95. Retail shopping can be done at the Mohave Crossroads Shopping Center, 9 miles down the road, which features a Target, Kohl's and more.
