"The Port is very accessible to everything," Feijo says. "Whether on a bike or the T or a bus, you can easily get to all points of Cambridge or over the bridge into Boston from there."Specialty shops and neighborhood eateries
For a weekend grocery run, there's Formaggio Kitchen, a gourmet European and American outpost with prepared foods and grocery items, specialty cheeses and charcuterie, and Whole Foods sits just outside the neighborhood. The Garment District, a sprawling clothing store where new and vintage clothing is sold by the pound, is a top nearby shop for finding a unique outfit, while a Vietnamese espresso from Cicada Café on Prospect Street is the perfect way to start the day. Residents can also enjoy a hearty brunch at Café Luna or order from the periodic table-themed menu at Miracle of Science Bar + Grill near MIT. Feijo recommends a visit to family-owned Amelia's Trattoria on Harvard Street, and The Port features many other flavors to savor in addition to Italian cuisine, including Taiwanese and Greek.
