Westview is nestled between Canton and Massillon
About 5 miles between Massillon and Canton is Westview, a small neighborhood in Perry Township. Mid-20th century homes make up most of the neighborhood, although T.C. Knapp Elementary, which will become an early learning center in the fall of 2024, rests in the center. “It’s part of Perry Local Schools, which is desirable for the area,” says Tyler Kuhns, Realtor with the Massillon branch of Stewardship Realty LLC. The school district receives a B from Niche. Most residents travel to the nearby cities for retail and dining needs.
Westview homes sit on grassy lawns
Mature trees are scattered throughout Westview, creating some privacy between neighbors. Residents maintain large grassy lawns that extend to the paved roads, often decorated with shrubbery or flowers at the base of houses and the edge of wide driveways. Most of the mid-20th century homes in the neighborhood are brick and vinyl split levels, ranch styles and bilevels with shuttered windows. Prices tend to fall between $115,000 and $275,000.

As part of Perry Local School District, students can complete kindergarten through fourth grade at T.C. Knapp Elementary School. Fifth and sixth grade are offered at Pfieffer Intermediate School, while Edison Middle teaches seventh and eighth grade. All three schools earn a B-plus from Niche. With three new elementary schools opening in the fall of 224, the district is turning T.C. Knapp into an early learning center. Perry High School, which receives a B-minus, recently introduced the Library Learning Commons, designed with an open concept to encourage collaborative work and more social settings in the school.
