Ranging from Santa Fe and Spanish Revival designs to strikingly modern styles, every home in the neighborhood is unique and custom-built. "Most of the homes were constructed in the 1970s and 80s, and all of them are single-level custom builds. About 20 miles north of Downtown Scottsdale, residents of Pinnacle Peak can get to the city by driving about 30 minutes south along Arizona State Route 101. To get to Phoenix, residents can take a 30-mile, or about 45-minute, drive along the Piestewa Freeway to get into the heart of the city. For those who own or would like to charter private planes, Scottsdale Airport is just ten miles south of the neighborhood, while, for public flights, Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is about 30 miles down the road. The closest hospital, Scottsdale Thompson Peak Medical Center, is also just south of the neighborhood, located right on Scottsdale Road.
