Housing in Weldon Ridge is often dependent on its phases. “They have a huge community,” Chan says. “There’s smaller townhomes to single-family to estate homes.” There are many two-story, new traditional and Craftsman homes with two-car garages and small front porches. The neighborhood’s single-family homes, all built from 2006 to 2024, sit close together and have tidy lawns with sidewalks lining the street. Trees fill the space between homes, and winding roads and cul-de-sacs lead back to major roads and parkways. Three-bedroom homes range from $600,000 to just under $1 million, depending on their floor plan and square footage. Townhouses in The Grove at Weldon Ridge range from the $500,000s to $600,000s.

Close to Jordan Lake, the American Tobacco Trail and Thomas Brooks Park
Raftery Park connects to the American Tobacco Trail, which spans 23 miles through Cary and surrounding towns, winds alongside Weldon Ridge and offers great access to biking and walking paths. Weldon Ridge is also less than 10 miles from Jordan Lake, a popular recreation spot with public swimming, camping and fishing accesses around the shore. Just east of the neighborhood, Thomas Brooks Park has various baseball, basketball and soccer fields. It's also home to the USA Baseball National Training Complex, where teams of all levels, from kids leagues to Olympic-class athletes, can race around the diamond.

Wake County Schools in Cary earn A’s
Students living in Weldon Ridge attend Wake County Schools, which earned an overall A grade from Niche. Nearby Mills Park Elementary School offers programs like the Spelling Bee and the Odyssey of the Mind, which teaches creative problem-solving and introduces new complex subjects alongside the standard curriculum. Meanwhile, Mills Park Middle School offers unique clubs like Girls Who Game and the Dungeons & Dragons club. Both schools earned A grades and sit beside each other next to Mills Park. Panther Creek High School and Green Hope High School both earned A-pluses.

Weldon Ridge Clubhouse and local events
Weldon Ridge Clubhouse is the central social gathering place for neighborhood residents. Clubhouse members enjoy the neighborhood's resort-style amenities like a swimming pool with a waterslide, a volleyball court and multipurpose spaces. Residents are also just minutes away from everything happening in Cary. “There’s always something wholesome to do in Cary, whether it’s an outdoor event, craft show, cultural festival or something else,” Pitts says. “The weather is nice throughout the year, so most events are outdoors.” Popular Cary events include downtown Cary's Lazy Daze Arts & Crafts Festival and the Chinese Lantern Festival at Koka Booth Amphitheatre.

Central to everything the triangle has to offer
On the east side of Cary, Weldon Ridge is conveniently located within 20 miles of Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill. Residents can drive to almost any location in The Research Triangle in 30 minutes or less and are just 10 miles from facilities like Wake Med Hospital and the Raleigh-Durham International Airport. Weldon Ridge is conveniently located within 2 miles of Publix, Aldi and Harris Teeter up Green Level Church Road. Here, locals will also find convenience stores, beauty parlors, fitness centers and more shops. SipCha boba tea shop has drinks like rose peach oolong milk tea or Mirchi's Indian Kitchen offers authentic Indian cuisine. Locals can also drive 6 miles east to Fenton, a mixed-use development with apartments, bars, restaurants, and shopping at stores like Lululemon and Free People. “Fenton is a new upscale shopping center. They’ve made lots of little pocket play spaces inside the shopping center where people can sit and hang out,” says Pitts.
