Waterfront living in Charleston's Sandhurst

Sandhurst, bordering the marshy Ashley River, offers waterfront living near a commercial corridor. The community saw significant residential development in the 1960s and 1980s. The riverside neighborhood has maintained a serene nature since its development in the 1960s and 1980s. But the area sits in the middle of the ever-expanding West Ashley district, which is home to nearly half of Charleston's residents. "They are getting ready to be uber-focused on working on the commercial and functional side of West Ashley," says Charleston native Ashley Dangerfield, the broker and owner of Charleston Home Team. "Like bringing in more things that bring people in. They are adding pedestrian walkways, adding more parks and making it more community oriented."
