Northbridge Park sits along a causeway on Sam Rittenberg Boulevard. Overlooking the Ashley River, the park has a pier and a floating dock for canoes. There's also a small beach. "Ashley River has lots of fishing, sailing, lots of boating, you name it," Dangerfield says. Locals may also access the river at county boat launches about 5 miles away. Pierpoint Boat Launch is along Church Creek, and the Wappoo Cut Boat Landing provides access to the Intracoastal. On the opposite side of Sam Rittenberg Boulevard awaits Parkshore Park. The green space has a baseball diamond, tennis courts and a playground. Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site is a state park and tourist destination. Visitors can walk along the preserved grounds of South Carolina's first colonial settlement for an admission fee.
The Wappoo Cut Boat Landing provides Sandhurst locals with access to the Intracoastal.

Getting around on Sam Rittenberg and Interstate 26
The neighborhood borders Sam Rittenberg Boulevard, which brings residents to popular Charleston destinations across the river.
