Park Road is a residential community on the southern edge of Charlotte. Buyers can find a variety of single-family home styles, as well as townhomes and condos. Residents are also close to job centers in the Ballantyne neighborhood and to the shopping and entertainment in Pineville.

A blend of single-family homes and townhomes are present

“What you’re going to see a lot of is a balance,” says Carson Lopes, a client care coordinator with the Finigan Group, who has over six years of experience. “There's going to be a number of condos, townhomes and single-families.”

Ranch styles, split-levels, Colonial Revivals and New Traditionals are the main architectural styles. Townhomes and condos generally cost between the low $200,000s and the low $300,000s. Single-family homes range from the low $200,000s to the mid-$500,000s. HOAs also oversee some properties.

“As far as housing goes, you’re going to find more attractive pricing than if you go down south,” says Lopes. “[Park Road] is going to be a more attractive barrier to entry on your wallet while still having all of the amenities right next to it.”

Costs are generally lower here than in the towns of Pineville and Marvin or in Ballantyne. Homes are on winding streets with smaller-than-average lots and oak trees accenting lawns. Condo and townhome units are close to Pineville-Matthews Road.

Interstate 485 is adjacent to Park Road, with some bus and light rail

CATS buses have multiple stops in the area. The entrance to Interstate-485 is on Pineville-Matthews Road. The Lynx Blue Line’s I-485/South Boulevard station is 3 miles away. Uptown Charlotte is roughly 15 miles north, while Atrium Health Pineville is just over 1 mile away.

Shopping and dining locations are on Pineville-Matthews Road

Grocery stores and big-box retailers are just outside the community along Pineville-Matthews Road and Park Road and include an Aldi, Walmart Neighborhood Market and Dollar Tree. More options are in Pineville along Century Parkway. The Carolina Place Mall is also close by, offering a variety of shops and department stores, such as Belk and Dillard’s.


Dining spots are also along Pineville-Matthews Road and feature a mix of chains and locally owned spots:

  • Las Americas Bakery and Restaurant serves authentic Colombian dishes.
  • Trio has Italian fare and is open for brunch.
  • Nakato Japanese Steakhouse offers sushi and Hibachi.
  • Tavern 51 sells steaks and burgers.
More locally owned joints are in Pineville and Ballantyne.
