Westview-Mountain Shadows offers suburban living and nearby shopping

Westview-Mountain Shadows is a quiet suburban neighborhood bridging the line between Chattanooga and Hamilton County. The community features a mix of housing styles spanning from the late 20th century to new construction. City and county parks offer nearby recreation, while the bustling shopping centers along Gunbarrel Road make it easy to shop for clothes, home goods and groceries. With East Brainerd Road connecting to Interstate 75 just a few miles away, you’ll have an easy start to commutes throughout the Chattanooga region.

A mix of home styles and ages in the neighborhood

As you drive along the winding, tree-lined streets of the neighborhood, you’ll notice that it feels like an established community. “It’s a more mature neighborhood. They’re more luxury-type homes, but they’re also older,” says Joanie Sompayrac, a Realtor at Keller Williams with seven years of experience. The area has a median build year of 1986, and many of the 20th-century homes are Colonial Revivals, traditional and ranch-style houses. While these are common, you can still find lots of new construction, especially in the Social Circle and Reflections subdivisions. Most homes cost between the upper $200,000s and the upper $700,000s, but some large properties over 4,000 square feet range from the lower $500,000s to the mid-$1.2 millions. Homeowners associations are common, with fees of up to $100 per month, and they often include amenities such as community pools and clubhouses.
