Cherry Hill Mall is a census-designated place, sharing a name with its indoor shopping center. "It’s one of the great treasures of Cherry Hill, the mall has so many shops and you can find anything and everything,” says Day Lazala-Gordon, a Cherry Hill Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway Fox & Roach. “It draws in people from as far as New York.”
According to the 2020 census, the community is home to around 15,000 people and is part of The District, an area of Cherry Hill known for its dining, shopping and amenity options. Some properties are close enough to the mall for shoppers to travel on foot. Just around 20 minutes from Philadelphia, the area has many public transportation options for those commuting into the city.

Leafy suburban neighborhoods that attract commuters
Sidewalk-lined streets allow walkers to navigate neighborhoods safely and display homes built between the 1920s and 70s. Bungalows, split level and ranch-style homes are all common in the area. They sell for a median price of $460,000, higher than the national median, and stay on the market for an average of 24 days. While some houses have been recently renovated, there is not a lot of new construction. Leafy subdivisions like Colwick, Windsor Park and Cherry Hill Estates surround the shopping center. Townhouses are typical in the area’s southeastern section and range from $150,000 to $560,000. The prices have increased tremendously,” Lazala-Gordon says. “The reason for the boom is proximity to Philadelphia. There's a lot of commuters who work there but live in Cherry Hill because of our school district.”
