The Pointe
Neighborhood in Cheyenne, Wyoming
Laramie County 82009
Craftsman ranches and two-stories from multiple developers
The Pointe started its development in the early 2000s. The community had numerous builders during its formation, and these changes allowed for the homes and lot sizes to vary compared to other subdivisions. “When we had the recession, and the original builder started offering lots to other builders, that’s when they built a lot of two-stories and ranch styles,” Prescott says. “The lot sizes range from 6,000 square feet and a half acre. We don’t find that anymore in subdivisions. It provides some diversity in construction and style.” The Pointe is known for its friendly and community-forward ambiance. The neighborhood’s design encourages mingling with neighbors and daily activity with its walking paths. “It’s a pretty community-driven neighborhood,” Prescott says. “They do community garage sales and block party events throughout the year.” HOA fees cover the neighborhood’s upkeep and snow removal. Craftsman ranchers have similar perks, such as two-car garages and front lawns. Craftsman two-story homes and single-story townhomes vary between two-to-three-car garages. Single-family homes are priced from $450,000 for a two-bedroom and $770,000 for a two-story. Townhomes range from $385,000 to $550,000. “It’s a very family-oriented subdivision.”Private park and 2 miles of walking trails
Pointe Park is a private neighborhood outdoor spot with lots of green space, a playground and a basketball court. The neighborhood has over 2 miles of walking paths, which dog walkers or joggers frequently use. The Cheyenne Greenway also runs through the neighborhood, connecting over 45 miles of hiking and biking trails in the city. Golfers can practice their swings at the Airport Golf Club and the Cheyenne Country Club, both 4 miles away. Airport Golf Club is a public 18-hole course with a membership-only clubhouse for lounging and food. The Cheyenne Country Club is a private facility. Members here earn access to their 18-hole course, swimming pool and tennis courts.Higher rated schools within 3-mile radius
