Delshire is a quiet neighborhood just 6 miles from Cincinnati
Delshire is a laid-back residential neighborhood in Delhi Township on Cincinnati's West Side. Perched on a bluff north of the Ohio River, the neighborhood feels removed from the pace of the city. Neighborhood kids can walk over to the local Delshire Elementary School and the Delshire Swim Club is a go-to spot in the summer for movie nights and swim meets. And even though it seems tucked away, you're still a quick drive from all the activity of downtown Cincinnati, just 6 miles away.
Midcentury streets have a suburban West Side feel
Delshire's winding suburban streets are lined with homes from the 1950s to the 1970s. You'll find ranch-style, split-level and bi-level houses, many updated with refreshed kitchens or finished lower levels. Backyards are shaded by mature trees and sidewalk-lined streets often end in cul-de-sacs. Prices typically run from the lower $200,000s to the lower $400,000s. Overall, Delshire reflects the West Side's reputation for quiet neighborhoods and a strong sense of community. "When I first moved here from Dayton, someone told me I was an 'East Sider' because I lived there at the time," says Roy Webb, a broker/owner at RealTown Realty in Cincinnati, who adds, "The West Side is a big part of the city. I've never heard of another town's community being like this."
Many homes in Delshire were built in the 1950s to 1970s.
There are a few homes from the 1990s in newer subdivisions.

Easy access to downtown Cincinnati by car or Metro bus
Cincinnati's City Center is about 6 miles away, usually less than a 15-minute drive. The Metro bus runs right through the neighborhood streets and connects into downtown in about 25 minutes. The neighborhood's proximity to downtown makes it easy to enjoy Cincinnati's attractions while living in a quieter residential setting. "We have a well-established arts scene with an amazing symphony, opera and great theater. We also have sports teams in the MLB, NFL and MLS," says Amy Getgey, Cincinnati resident and Realtor at Comey & Shepherd. "There are safe neighborhoods here that are easily accessible, and there's a lot to do."
