A convenient central Clearwater neighborhood
Clearwater Golf View is a classic Floridian neighborhood southeast of downtown Clearwater. “When I was growing up here, this was all orange groves, and now I would say it’s traditionally suburban,” says Realtor Wally Whisennant of Coldwell Banker, who has almost a decade of real estate experience. This is an older section of Pinellas County, mostly built up in the mid-‘60s. But with an average lot size of almost 8,000 square feet, Clearwater Golf View has more breathing room than many of the 21st-century developments now scattered across the Sunshine State’s most densely populated county. The spacious yards, shaded by Spanish moss-cloaked oaks and the occasional remaining orange tree, add to its suburban appeal. It’s also sought-after for its competitive home prices and convenience to surrounding commercial corridors.
Clearwater Golf View is within walking distance of Downtown Clearwater.
Clearwater Golf View residents enjoy living close to Downtown Clearwater and Clearwater beach.

Midcentury Minimal Traditional and ranch-style homes
Minimal Traditional and ranch-style homes sell for between $210,000 and about $600,000, while modest manufactured homes typically range from $3,000 to $54,000. “In the current market conditions, we’re not seeing a lot of homes fetching asking price. And we’re looking at around 60 to 65 days on market, which is unusual for us in this area,” Whisennant says. Slightly over 40% of residents are renters. The risk of flooding is relatively low compared to coastal Clearwater areas. Most homes sit between 30 and 50 feet above sea level.
