Coachman's variety of homes, baseball stadium and major roads
Surrounded by shopping and green space, Coachman comprises residential pockets along wide streets, condos and apartment complexes. “There are a lot of different little neighborhoods within,” says Julie Kelsey, Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty. “The Ream Wilson Trail takes you all the way to the Coachman area,” Kelsey says. The area is home to a baseball stadium that hosts an MLB team during spring training and a local state team. Because Coachman consists of multiple subdivisions, home styles, sizes, and prices vary greatly. The neighborhood is near several major thoroughfares, including U.S. Route 19, which runs from the Gulf of Mexico to Lake Erie.
Coachman is a small neighborhood in Clearwater.
BayCare park is home to the Philadelphia Phillies Spring Training.

Homes in Coachman Hill Preserve and other subdivisions
“It’s not a big area,” says Plamen Petkov, a Realtor and broker with #1 Realty Group. “There are a lot of apartment complexes available for rent.” The average lot size is a third of an acre, and some subdivisions are not deed-restricted, meaning residents can use the space for RVs and boats. The neighborhood is in a no-flood zone. Single-family homes in the area start at $375,000 to $875,000. Coachman Hill Preserve is a gated subdivision of 10 large estate homes that range from $1,950,000 to $2,950,000. There are no condos or townhouses for sale or recently sold in the neighborhood.
The majority of the streets in Coachman have sidewalks.

Schools with magnet programs and Plato Academy Clearwater
The majority of students in the neighborhood can attend Eisenhower Elementary and Clearwater High, which is home to the four-year Career Academy for International Culture and Commerce. However, students in the northeast corner of Coachman can go to McMullen Booth Elementary and Countryside High. The entire neighborhood is zoned for Safety Harbor Middle. All five schools earn a B grade on Niche. Families can apply to magnet programs at other schools within the Pinellas County school district. Plato Academy Clearwater is an A-minus-rated kindergarten through Grade 8 charter school located in the neighborhood.

Several parks, nearby beaches and a Baseball stadium
Northeast Coachman Park has an 18-hole, par three disc golf course. It's close to the playground and tennis courts at Coachman Ridge Park. The Ream Wilson Trail runs through parks and spans 13 miles from Clearwater Beach to Tampa Bay at Safety Harbor. Clearwater Beach’s 34 miles of shoreline is less than 10 miles away by car. BayCare Ball Park is where the Philadelphia Phillies do their spring training. "The baseball stadium is very popular,” Petkov says. “A lot of people go to see games there. In the winter, teams come from up north and play games there.” The Clearwater Threshers of the Florida State League also play there. Golfers are close to The Landings Golf Club.

Shopping and dining in malls and downtown districts
Coachman Plaza is a small shopping center with small businesses and restaurants, including Benedict’s Breakfast and Lunch and Buster Brown's Sports Bar. Where NE Coachman Road and U.S. Route 19 meet, Taco-Quila Mexican Kitchen and Cantina has daily specials and live mariachi music every Sunday. Sunset Point 19 is a larger mall with a World Market, Barnes & Noble and a handful of fast-food chains. Aldi, Publix and Walmart are all a few miles away. The neighborhood is within 3 to 7 miles of shopping and dining in three downtown districts: Dunedin, Safety Harbor and Clearwater.
Benedicts is a popular place for breakfast and lunch.
Residents can find many of their shopping needs in a short distance.

Airparks, airports and driving on Drew
Street
“Coachman is next to Clearwater Airpark, so it might be a little loud sometimes,” Petkov says. The public-use airport is city-owned and has around 50,000 operations annually. For commercial flights, St. Pete–Clearwater International Airport is about a 7-mile drive down Bayside Bridge, and Tampa International Airport is closer to 15 miles away on the Courtney Campbell Causeway. There is a shuttle service that runs between the two airports. Coachman is off Drew Street, making hopping on both the bridge and the causeway convenient. The neighborhood is mostly car-dependent, with some bikeability, and Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority bus stops on a few of the surrounding roads.
The Clearwater Airpark is a great place for recreational flying.
GreatSchools:
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
