Sitting just 15 miles out from Midtown Manhattan, Richfield offers its residents a blend of urban and suburban amenities – creating an atmosphere built on convenience, charm and community spirit. Like much of Clifton, the area is a popular choice among New York suburbs – with the area’s market reflecting how appealing the idea of NYC access without the hustle and bustle, not to mention the extra room to stretch out, really is. “Clifton really feels like it’s made up of a bunch of smaller communities,” says Frances Rosado, broker with Real Broker LLC and longtime resident of the area. “Even among the other Clifton neighborhoods, though, Richfield is very centrally located and very convenient to just about everything nearby.”

More house for a lower price than than city
In addition to its particularly central location, Richfield is also one of the more buyer-friendly neighborhoods in all of Clifton. “In comparison to places like Rosemawr or Montclair Heights, it’s cheaper,” says Rosado. Streets in Richfield feature sidewalks line with trees and classic styles of housing, with Cape Cod, ranch style, split-level and Colonial Revivals being the most common types of homes. Prices start at around $500,000 and reach $750,000 typically, and lots are generally large enough to accommodate small yards and garden areas. In contrast to the urban sprawl just miles from the neighborhood, residents can count on lush greenery just outside their door.
