Local athletes can play almost any sport at Civic Center Park. Grassy fields separate four baseball diamonds, two tennis courts and a basketball court. Visitors can eat lunch under covered picnic tables, challenge their friends to a sand volleyball tournament or play a game at Clinton’s only disc golf course. Eight swings, monkey bars and slides entertain children while teens shred at the skate park, which has various ramps. Crane Field Golf Course is a regulation 18-hole course and driving range where locals can let off some steam. Meanwhile, Powerline Park includes scenic walking trails, while Pond Park is a popular spot for fishing. Community spirit runs rampant during Clinton Heritage Days. The beginning of summer is marked by various events throughout the first week of June, such as a pickleball tournament or the annual Clinton Idol competition.
