Wolf Ranch
New constructions in sidewalk suburbs
The curving streets of Wolf Ranch are lined with tidy, paved sidewalks. New constructions with ranch and modern farmhouse elements are perched close to each other on lots that average a quarter acre and boast short, paved driveways leading to attached garages. These homes have shallow front lawns with simple, elegant landscaping. “The houses are also built on clearer, elevated terrain, so there’s nothing blocking your beautiful view of the mountains,” says Weseman. Prices start at around $400,000 and go up to roughly $1 million.Schools in highly rated District 20
Wolf Ranch students attend Ranch Creek Elementary, which earns an overall grade of A-minus from Niche. Chinook Trail Middle earns an A-minus, and Liberty High School receives a B-plus. All three schools fall within the 20th school district, which is ranked as one of the best in Colorado Springs.Parks, outdoor events and hiking in Black Forest
Green space is abundant in Wolf Ranch, with more than seven miles of trails and almost 400 acres of parks scattered throughout the neighborhood. Locals can bring blankets and chairs to Gateway Park, where seasonal events like a summer concert series, fall festival and Food Truck Fridays are hosted. The handful of neighborhood pocket packs all feature playgrounds, so little ones are never far from a place to play. At Wolf Ranch Recreation Center, residents have their pick of cooling off in the indoor pool, outdoor pool or splash pad. Dogs also have their own slice of paradise at the dog park across from the recreation center. Pups can crawl through tunnels, jump through hoops and climb across balance beams as they compete for treats and make new furry friends. For an outdoor adventure, locals can hop in the car and drive 5 miles north to the expansive 385-acre Black Forest Regional Park, where they can hike to their heart’s desire.Powers Corridor is packed with shopping and dining
The Powers Corridor runs along Wolf Ranch, placing big box retailers like Target and King Soopers Grocery within 3 miles. For more shopping, Chapel Hills Mall is 5 miles east of Wolf Ranch and is home to a large range of small and large retailers. Locals don’t have to travel far when they want to dine out, as there are several popular options in the neighborhood. Abby’s Irish Pub serves classic Irish fare like shepherd’s pie and bangers and mash in a casual environment. Right next door is Vaqueros Mexican Restaurant, serving up large portions of Mexican favorites. UC Health Memorial Hospital and Children's Hospital Colorado are also located just west of the neighborhood.Locals can walk around the area and travel by car to get downtown
The Wolf Ranch neighborhood is highly walkable, and the neighborhood’s abundant sidewalks extend outward and connect to the shops and retail on Powers Boulevard. However, there is no public transport serving the area, so most residents get around town by car. The neighborhood’s proximity to main thoroughfares like Interstate 25 and Route 21 make it easy to travel. 12 miles south on Interstate 25 will land Wolf Ranch residents in the heart of downtown Colorado Springs.
