Quiet, peaceful living just seven miles north of Columbia

Resting just beyond downtown Columbia's immediate orbit, the community of Far North Columbia is home to an "Old school way of life," says Robert Murphy, longtime resident and co-owner of local business, Trigger Tyme Paintball. By old school, he means "It's the kind of place where, if you break down on the side of the road, someone will help you," Murphy adds, stating that "People are always respectful to their neighbors here." The pace of life is a bit different in Far North Columbia. Despite being densely populated and experiencing rapid growth, this suburb remains relatively peaceful. Tucked away in the woods, just off Interstate 20, Far North Columbia offers prospective buyers several subdivisions as well as individual private properties spread throughout its forested, rural areas. With "enough land to have a few animals and streets that are quiet so kids can play outside," Far North Columbia is home to a more laid-back lifestyle.
