Hit a hole-in-one in this refined Denver country club community

The luxury of rural Colorado and the convenience of an easy commute meet in Columbine Valley. Named after the state flower, this small town features premier estates and lush greenery, a championship golf course at its heart, and scenic views of the Front Range mountains to the distant west. The community bloomed out of a small selection of homes built near the grounds of the Columbine Country Club in the 1950s to create a suburban retreat away from the more densely populated central areas in Denver and urban residential developments in Littleton. “About 50% of our residents are also members of the country club, and it’s a big center of culture and life for them,” says J.D. McCrumb, the town administrator for Columbine Valley. McCrumb has handled public administration for the town for more than 10 years. Today, the neighborhood has grown past the boundaries of its midcentury founding but retains a pastoral charm that distinguishes the area from its surroundings.
