Single-family homes and townhouses
Homebuyers can purchase 1960s bungalows and ranch-style houses west of the Olentangy River for between $240,000 and $400,000. East of the river, 1980s bungalows sell for between $320,000 and $380,000. Homebuyers can purchase bi-level houses for between $350,000 and $500,000. There is a large selection of townhouses as well. Vinyl-exterior townhouses, also built in the 1980s, are valued from $220,000 to $290,000. “Some of those properties back up to Highbanks, and you have deer come to the fence,” Mason says. “One of the kids in the neighborhood told me about the deer experience, ‘Miss Marilyn, look at our pets.’”

Residents walk to Highbluffs Park within the community to lounge near its two lakes or walk pets. Access to such amenities keeps residents in the area. “There’s a lot of longevity. I have clients that have moved within the neighborhood. I think that says a lot about community,” Mason says.

The neighborhood’s dining options are all casual, and most are franchises. Locals often begin their days with coffee and sweets at Dunkin’. Waffle House is another nearby breakfast spot. Smoothie King is a popping post-exercise spot. El Vaquero Mexican Restaurant serves salty margaritas and spicy fajitas. At North City Tavern, drinks flow, pool balls are struck, musicians sing and pizza is served. Polaris Town Center is 2 ½ miles east and includes retailers like Kroger, Best Buy, Target, Macy’s and T.J. Maxx.

Getting around the Columbus area
