A competitive market with schools and taxes driving demand
Summerwood is known for its tidy streets, sidewalks everywhere, and well-kept lawns. Homes are close together, with most of the space going to private backyards that are sometimes fenced in. The majority of houses were built in the 1970s and ‘80s and lean toward New Traditional designs, often with Tudor details mixed in.
Prices typically fall between the high $200,000s and the low $400,000s, depending on size and features. Erik Hiss, an agent with Keller Williams Capital Partners, notes that homes move fast here. “That’s been a fairly steady market,” he says, pointing to property taxes and schools as key drivers. He goes on to say that many houses are in Columbus tax zones but Worthington and Dublin school districts. The median price for a single-family home is in the mid-$300,000s, lower than nearby areas like Olde Sawmill and Brookside Colony, comparable to Brookside Village and higher than Foxboro and Worthington Green.
Condos are also a popular option here. Townhouses and duplexes usually range from the high $100,000s to the low $200,000s and often come with monthly HOA fees between $100 and $200, which typically cover snow removal, lawn care and trash pickup.
