Brookside Village is a quiet community close to schools and shopping
Just south of the Jack Nicklaus Freeway, Brookside Village is a small community with a mix of newer homes, condos and townhouses. People are drawn here for the easy access to highly rated public schools, major job centers and everyday shopping. Even though it’s next to a busy highway, the neighborhood itself is known for quiet, well-maintained streets.

What homes cost and how prices compare to nearby areas
Most homes were built in the 1980s and onward, with split-levels and ranch-style homes standing side-by-side with New Traditional construction. Prices range from the low $300,000s to the mid-$400,000s, depending on size and features. “With the age of the homes, you’ll find that some have been updated to include more modern styles inside the house, such as more open space,” says Kristen Maetzold, Realtor with Howard Hanna Real Estate Services. “So they have the best of both worlds: having an older home with a more modern floor plan.” The median price for a single-family home in Brookside Village tends to be lower than neighboring communities like Antrim, Stilson and Brookside Woods, but comparable to Summerwood. Condos and townhouses are also popular, generally selling between the low and high $100,000s. Monthly HOA fees for condos are typical, usually running between $10 and $120, and cover services like snow removal, lawn care and sewer. “That area is a really great place to be right now,” says Theresa Mesaros, Realtor at Coldwell Banker. “It’s easy to get anywhere in the city from there.”
Well maintained split-level homes are popular.
Homes are frequently shaded by mature trees.

Quick access to job centers with multiple ways to get around
The Jack Nicklaus Freeway, also called the Outerbelt, runs along the north side of Brookside Village, with the Olentangy Freeway about 3 miles away. That location makes it easy to reach some of the area’s biggest job centers, including downtown Columbus and New Albany, both roughly 20 miles out. Westerville is about 10 miles away, while Clintonville and Dublin are closer at around 5 miles. Snouffer Road and Smoky Row Road both have Central Ohio Transit Authority bus stops, and sidewalks connect the residential areas, helping with walkability. Even with highways and transit nearby, cul-de-sacs and curving neighborhood streets help keep cut-through traffic low.
