Westworth Village
Suburban Neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio
Franklin County 43085

Recently updated 1980s homes
Most Westworth Village houses were built in the 1980s and feature common architectural styles from that period. These include Colonial Revival, split-level, bi-level and ranch-style designs. “Most of the homes there have been fairly recently updated because they’re a little bit older,” Kessel-White says. “At this point, you’ll see that they’ve been at least updated one time.” Contemporary condominiums and duplexes with attached garages also appear around the neighborhood, with two-bedroom condos starting at around $200,000. For the average property value of $313,000, homebuyers might find a three-bedroom bi-level house. Four-bedroom split-levels over 1,500 square feet can cost up to $400,000.Over 760 acres of trees and trails
Worthington Park Library operates in a small strip mall in the neighborhood’s northeast corner. This recently expanded public space features several study rooms, fireplace-adjacent seating, and areas for teens and preteens. Just east across I-71, Sharon Woods features 761 acres of forests and fields. Visitors traverse wooded trails on foot and bicycle and enjoy fishing on the 11-acre Schrock Lake.Five public schools within 3 miles
Niche gives the Worthington City School District an A-minus overall, emphasizing quality teachers and college preparation. Westworth Village is split into two elementary and middle school enrollment zones, one on either side of Worthington Galena Road. Students to the west attend Slate Hill Elementary School and Worthingway Middle, both with B-pluses from Niche. Wilson Hill Elementary and Kilbourne Middle, each with an A-minus, serve those to the east. All Westworth Village teens are zoned for Thomas Worthington High School, also rated an A-minus. Seniors at Worthington High have month-by-month checklists that prepare them for graduation and for picking a college. All schools serving the neighborhood operate within about 3 miles.
Local and downtown work opportunities
Downtown Columbus commuters have about a 14-mile drive south. Bus stops appear along Sancus Boulevard to the west, serving public transportation users. However, many work opportunities are available much closer to the neighborhood. The JPMorgan Chase McCoy Center employs thousands of locals less than 1 mile northwest. “There are a lot of office buildings and medical buildings in the Worthington and Westerville areas,” Kessel-White adds. From vegan eats to big-box retailers
Kroger is a few doors down from the library, making grocery trips relatively quick for residents. Nearby independent businesses include Zammy’s Vegan Kitchen, whose fully vegan menu includes burgers even carnivores will enjoy. It’s named after the owner’s two pooches, Zack and Sammy, whose furry faces are featured in photographs throughout the restaurant. Polaris Fashion Place is less than 2 miles north of the neighborhood, home to over 170 shops, restaurants and entertainment spaces. Anchor businesses at this indoor mall include Macy’s, Von Maur and JCPenney.
