Craftsman and free-standing condos
Three subdivisions divide Williams Creek. The northernmost section is the oldest, with midcentury-inspired homes constructed mainly in the 1970s. In the center is a collection of free-standing condos maintained by the Williams Creek Homeowners Association. The most recently developed homes are in the furthest south, with an average build date in the early 21st century. Houses along the eastern border of Spangler Road face stretches of thick foliage, and mature oak and maple trees line the streets.Condos have eighth-acre lots with detached garages, while single-family homes have more space, sometimes as large as a half-acre. Condos are priced from the low $100,000s to the mid-$200,000s based on size and condition. Prices for older single-family ranch-style and split-level homes go from the low to high $200,000s. The newest homes in the neighborhood's southern end generally start in the mid-$200,000s and peak in the low $300,000s.
Hundreds of acres of greenery just outside
Much of the greenery east of Williams Creek is directly related to Three Creeks Metro Park. "It's a very big part of the community," says Shari Smith, a Realtor with e-Merge Real Estate. "Local teams hold functions there; residents have easy access to trails, and it's a peaceful place to escape to." Just over 5 miles to the southeast, Three Creeks Metro Park contains 1,100 acres of trails, picnic shelters and recreational activities, including biking, canoeing and fishing.Hikers can walk a 25-mile section of the Ohio to Erie Trail thanks to a trailhead onto the Alum Creek Greenway. The Three Creeks Dog Park at Sycamore Fields has a fenced-in green space for large and small breeds, which allows for leash-free roaming. Near the neighborhood's southern end, the 6-acre Williams Creek Park has a wide, grassy field for sports and activities and a playground.
Pathways program for middle and high school students
Students in the area will begin at Madison Elementary, which has a C-plus on Niche, before heading to Groveport Madison Middle School North, which has a C. Older students will enroll at Groveport Madison High School, which has a C-plus. The district offers the Innovative Pathways program, which gives students extra opportunities to prepare for college or a career straight out of high school.Easy access to downtown and Groveport
Interstate 270 and U.S. Route 33 provide straightforward routes to downtown Columbus, 8 miles northwest, and Groveport, 5 miles southeast. Rickenbacker International Airport is 6 miles south, and OhioHealth Grove City Methodist Hospital is 13 miles west.Central Ohio Transit Authority provides a public bus system with stops along Alum Creek Drive. Directly west are several significant industrial parks, with manufacturing and distribution centers for Coca-Cola, Sherwin-Williams and Millwood, Inc.
Casual Asian food and specialty pizzas
Rice Kitchen offers familiar Chinese and Thai dishes like wonton soup, pad thai and kung pao chicken at the community's southern border. Possum Holler's specialty pizzas and sub sandwiches have been an Obetz staple since it opened in 1972. Groveport, 4 miles to the east, offers a large selection of independent and chain shopping, along with grocery stores like Giant Eagle and Aldi.
