Woods at Josephinum
Suburban Neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio
Franklin County 43235
Brick Colonials, New Traditionals and Tudor Revivals
There are some ranch-style homes in the area, but the majority were built in the New Traditional style. “The Woods at Josephinum was built by a custom home builder in the late 1970s and early 1980s,” says Realtor Marc Van Steyn, who sells houses in the neighborhood with RE/MAX Premier Choice. “The quality of the homes is just magnificent, and they’re all wooded lots.” Brick Colonial Revival-style houses sell for as low as $650,000, and New Traditional-style houses with backyard swimming pools on the banks of the Olentangy River sell for as high as $1.7 million. “The homes along the Olentangy River are a little bit larger and are going to bring the highest value,” Van Steyn says. Tudor Revival-style houses sell for between $570,000 and $820,000. Ranch-style houses sell for between $420,000 and $510,000.
A neighborhood bordering York Golf Club and Highbanks Metro Park
Outdoor recreation is varied and nearby. York Golf Club is an 18-hole private course open since 1924 and is just south of the neighborhood within walking distance of many residences. The 1,200-acre Highbanks Metro Park has multiple playgrounds, canoe access to the Olentangy River and miles of hiking, biking and skiing trails that traverse prairie land and woodlands. Residents tend not to swim in the Olentangy River, but they can fish in it. Olentangy Parkland is across the river. The 44-acre greenspace runs along the banks, and a 13.6-mile hiking and biking trail passes through it. ZipZone Outdoor Adventures is less than a 2-mile drive to the neighborhood's north. The adventure park has zipline tours through the canopies for all visitors over the age of seven.A-rated public schools in the Worthington City School District
Worthington Estates Elementary School, McCord Middle School and Thomas Worthington High School all have A-minus Niche ratings. The high school has a 90% graduation rate and offers extracurriculars like mock trial, jazz band, pit orchestra and theatre. All three schools are outside of the neighborhood, so children must either take the bus or provide their own transportation. The suburb borders Pontifical College Josephinum, a Roman Catholic seminary that serves about 50 students. It’s North America’s only pontifical seminary.

The neighborhood does not have sidewalks, but the streets are quiet enough for residents to walk their pets and ride bikes.Nearby steakhouses and a Kroger
