Palm trees and lush vegetation line the wide, winding streets of Cypress Run, "Homebuyers who choose Cypress Run always have a wish list," says Maryann Corona, a residential Realtor with Century 21 Tenace Realty, who's been representing the area since 2002. The community dates back to 1980 and has continued to evolve over the years.
The neighborhood comprises primarily ranch-style homes with various facades, colors and textures, and prices range between $243,000 and $843,000. Homes with HOA fees that range from $25 to $295 per month have the use of community pools and clubhouses. Condominiums are also available and are the most reasonably priced. Lots are small, around 1/8 acre, suitable for a Florida room and/or inground pool. "[Buyers] want the right resources for their families or the best location for their work commute and Cypress Run checks all the boxes," Corona says.
Students may start their education at Maplewood Elementary, which has a B grade from Niche. Sawgrass Springs Middle School offers the Cambridge Program developed by the University of Cambridge for academically talented and motivated students. It has a B from Niche. Coral Glades High School, with a B-plus grade, offers several academic pathways to advance their futures, such as college-tract AP Capstone and the Cambridge Program or career-focused programs in computer science, culinary arts, digital arts and more.
Eagle Ridge Park is a narrow 3-acre green space surrounded by houses except for a canal on one side. The park has a tennis court, a half-basketball court, and a playground with swings. Cypress Park covers 46 acres and features baseball fields, soccer fields, pickleball courts, a water park and a wooded area with trails. Cypress Park Tennis, located inside Cypress Hammock Park, features eight hard surface tennis courts and two lighted racquetball courts. To commune with nature, locals can view birds, mammals, reptiles and native Florida plants at the 5-acre Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital. This private non-profit has an onsite wildlife hospital that treats and rehabs animals, releasing them back into the wild.
The closest shopping center is Lakeview Center, 1.5 miles via local streets, which has a Publix Super Market. Another mainstay in the same shopping center is Rob's Bageland, which has been family-owned and operated for over 30 years. A Walmart Neighborhood Market is just off Coral Springs Drive, where there's also Pal' Rancho, a family-owned restaurant specializing in Latin cuisine. Residents can also get onto Atlantic Boulevard and travel east to Coral Square. This traditional mall features over 120 retailers, including Game Stop, Old Navy and Express, as well as 15 eateries, such as the That's-a-Wrap Sandwich Co. & Juice Bar. The complex is anchored by Macy's, JCPenney and Kohl's.
The area does have a few Broward County Transit bus stops; however, most residents rely on personal vehicles. Florida State Road 814 (also known as Atlantic Boulevard) is parallel Cypress Run's southern border. If residents travel west on SR 814, they will run into where the Sawgrass Expressway meets the Everglades. The expressway connects drivers to Florida's Turnpike or any point in the tri-county area from Palm Beach to Miami. Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International is a 26-mile drive via Interstate 595 Expressway.
