Eagle Trace
Suburban Neighborhood in Coral Springs, Florida
Broward County 33071
Large homes on spacious lots
Palm trees and lush tropical vegetation line narrow streets, some with sidewalks. Comprised mainly of Mediterranean and contemporary styles, spacious single-family homes dot the landscape, some with pools, and prices range between $452,000 and $2.2 million. Most were built in the 1990s and designed for larger families, with up to 4,000 square feet of space and four to six bedrooms. Many homes sit on nearly half-acre lots priced between $452K to $2.2 million. South of the golf course, the square footage is smaller, and the prices are more reasonable. Single-family homes in the lake area offer three to four bedrooms, as much as 2,800 square feet, and run between $650,000 and $800,000. There are also moderately priced condominiums. HOA fees run around $250 per month.Lots to see, learn and do
Eagle Trace offers residents many recreational opportunities. The largest and most prominent is the Eagle Trace Golf Club. The course spans more than 7,000 yards, and the layout has some unique characteristics, including an island green and three greens surrounded by wooden bulkheads. There are no palm trees on the property — a rarity in South Florida. A central area features basketball, tennis, and pickleball courts, a playground with swings, a climbing wall, two jungle gyms and an open play area. Each subdivision also has its own amenities and clubhouses. "Eagle Trace is like a village within itself," Cavaliere says. "We don't have outside traffic, amenities are walkable, and events at our clubhouses really make this neighborhood feel like a small town." Outside the neighborhood, residents can play inside and outside at Coral Springs Regional Park and Coral Springs Sportsplex, where they have access to basketball courts, batting cages, grills, open play areas, outside fitness equipment, a playground, tennis, pickleball and volleyball courts, picnic tables and paved walking trails. To commune with nature, locals can view birds, mammals, reptiles, and native Florida plants at the 5-acre Sawgrass Nature Center. This private non-profit has an onsite wildlife hospital that treats and rehabs animals, releasing them back into the wild.Middle school offers the Cambridge program
Students can walk to Westchester Riverside Elementary, which has a B-plus from Niche. Sawgrass Springs Middle offers the Cambridge program and has a B-grade. Coral Glades High School has a B-plus from Niche.Easy access to highway
Florida State Road 869 runs perpendicular to the western edge of Eagle Trace, enabling an easy commute to Ft. Lauderdale and other destinations. Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International is a 26-mile drive via FL-869 South. The area does have a few Broward County Transit bus stops; however, most residents rely on personal vehicles. For bagel lovers
The main shopping center in the neighborhood is Lakeview Center, which offers several conveniences. "You can walk to the Publix," Cavaliere says. "I've pushed my grandchildren there when they were in strollers. You'll also find three banks and a gas station. Everything is so walkable and close." Another mainstay in the same shopping center is Rob's Bageland, which has been family-owned and operated for over 30 years. Residents can also get onto Atlantic Boulevard and travel east to Coral Square. This traditional mall features over 120 stores and is anchored by a Macy's, a JCPenney and a Kohl's.
