With a tree-filled interior and plenty of greenery along the suburban streets, the neighborhood of Ramblewood lives up to its name, evoking ideas of enchanted forests and fairytale worlds. The neighborhood’s central park even shares a name with Sherwood Forest, famous as the hiding place of Robin Hood.

For those unwilling to live in the woods like a legendary British outlaw, housing options in Ramblewood are primarily one-story ranch homes, with many showing clear Spanish influences, sporting the warm stucco exterior and clay barrel tile roofing indicative of that style. Many of these homes feature in-ground pools and some even sit against the flood canals and Stranahan River, creating lots of backyard waterfront. Three-bedroom homes range from the upper $500,000s to the mid-$600,000s, with larger properties available closer to $700,000. There are also plenty of condos, town houses and apartments available within Ramblewood, perfect for seasonal residents or anyone looking for less square footage. Town houses are priced around $300,000, with condo units averaging just north of $200,000, but some larger listings can reach upwards of $600,000 depending on location.

Students in Ramblewood can attend Broward County public schools, with district schools like Ramblewood Elementary tucked into the heart of the neighborhood. It features an overall grade of B from Niche and a 10/10 score in student progress from GreatSchools and offers clubs including a debate team and robotics team. Ramblewood Middle School also has an overall B grade from Niche and features a variety of school clubs and specialty electives from environmental conservation and e-sports to student government and theater. Another highly rated school, J.P. Taravella High has both an overall B grade and a B-plus in college readiness from Niche. Students at Taravella High can earn an Advanced International Certificate of Education upon graduation, an internationally recognized diploma developed by the University of Cambridge.

To really get a taste for Ramblewood’s natural beauty, head to Sherwood Forest Park. As the name suggests, this neighborhood park is heavily forested, with both paved and natural surface walking trails to explore the native plant life, along with a naturally shaded playground. Spread throughout the neighborhood are several other neighborhood green spaces and pocket parks like Ramblewood Park, Countrywood Park and Kiwanis Park, making it easy to enjoy the outdoors from anywhere in Ramblewood.

While most of Ramblewood is residential, the neighborhood is bordered by two major roadways for commuting throughout Coral Springs, which provides easy access to nearby shops and restaurants. Head down University Drive for regional and national chains like Zona Fresca and Panera Bread, or take Atlantic Boulevard just 10 miles east to the waterfront of Pompano Beach. If you’re wanting to try some local favorites instead, grab dinner and a drink at Big Bear Brewing Company or enjoy a classic breakfast at Ramblewood Diner.

Residents wanting to do their own cooking will find everything they need at nearby grocery stores like Sam’s Club, Publix and Whole Foods, all within 2 miles of the center of Ramblewood. For even more shopping and dining options, check out Coral Square, the nearby indoor shopping mall home to classic stores like Macy’s, American Eagle and Hot Topic.
