Contrary to its name, Wyndham Lakes has a series of canals winding through it, with many houses lining the waterways. “Wyndham Lakes is a big half circle with about 15 gated subdivisions,” says Realtor Jake Thomas with Blue Realty Team. He's also a former neighborhood resident. “The way the neighborhoods are set up makes it easy for kids to play together.” On the western border are the protected portions of the Everglades, maintained and preserved by local organizations.

The Coral Springs Festival of the Arts showcases almost 200 artists alongside live music, theatre, dance and literary performances. It takes place along The Walk at University, where visitors can stop in the many shops and restaurants located there. In the fall, Coral Springs Oktoberfest invites everyone to celebrate fall in their best dirndls and lederhosen. Dual enrollment courses at Marjory Stoneman Douglas
Students begin their studies in Wyndham Lakes at Eagle Ridge Elementary School, which receives an A-minus from Niche. Earning a B from Niche, Coral Springs Middle School offers interesting specialized electives, like robotics and TV production. Niche also lists it as the third-most-diverse public middle school in Florida. With an A-plus ranking from Niche, Marjory Stoneman Douglas (MSD) High School has Advanced Placement (AP) classes and dual enrollment at several Florida schools, including Broward College and the University of Florida. In 2018, MSD was the site of a deadly shooting. Since then, the school and state have taken measures to increase security and mental health services to support students in the aftermath of the tragedy while continuing to remember the lives lost.
