Proximity to Dallas and Denton makes the North Metroplex city of Corinth popular with commuters. But family-friendly amenities, like over 150 acres of parkland, plus nearby attractions like Lewisville Lake add to its appeal. "It's a place where you can really get involved with the community. There's a lot of green space up there and a lot of room for kids' sports," says Marlin Edwards, a Realtor with RE/MAX Premier.
Home to about 23,000 residents, the city has seen a population and development boom. "There's been a lot of growth here in Corinth," says Bryan Edwards, a Realtor with eXp Realty. "But it's still a peaceful area where people like to take the boat out or go fishing on a quiet morning."
Corinth is about 35 miles from downtown Dallas and less than 10 miles from Denton, where major employers include the University of North Texas, Peterbilt Motors Company and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton.

Meadow Oaks may be a quaint neighborhood in a small city, but its amenities and community spirit are anything but modest. The leafy suburb is located in Corinth, an 8-square-mile town in north central Texas that’s part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. A few miles west of Lewisville Lake, residents have waterfront parks, a nature preserve and other outdoor recreation opportunities close by. The neighborhood is also surrounded by shopping and dining, and proximity to a major Thorofare allows access to Denton, Lewisville and Dallas. “It’s perfectly situated. You’re close to all the major highways, but you still get that neighborhood feel,” says Teresa Cain, Realtor with TEXEL-Elite Homes of Texas and lifelong Dallas and Plano resident. “And a lot of people want to be near the lake, it’s really beautiful, so that’s another part of the appeal.” That small-town feel is held up by a tight-knit homeowners association, keeping residents engaged with events and maintaining the community with projects and beautification efforts.
Meadow Oaks Park, in the heart of the neighborhood, has a playground, paved walkways and picnic pavilions. Less than 2 miles away, the 116-acre Corinth Community Park features baseball and soccer fields, a basketball court, a shaded playground and trails surrounding the outside. A butterfly garden is also a popular amenity in the sprawling park. The 3-mile Corinth Bike Trail is within walking distance of the community. Lewisville Lake and its surrounding waterfront parks are 4 miles east of Meadow Oaks. The lake is one of the most popular recreational spots for paddleboarding, boating and fishing, especially during summer. The 2,600-acre Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Area is 4 miles away from the neighborhood, on the shores of the lake. Willow Grove Park sits on the lake shoreline and offers camping spots, a fishing pier, boat docks, hiking and swimming. Sycamore Bend Park is on the opposite end of Lewisville Lake, 3 miles south of Meadow Oaks, and it provides hiking trails, boat launches, and campsites. It is also a popular swimming spot.
Most shopping and dining options are along Interstate 35E and Teasley Drive, which make up the southern and eastern edges of Meadow Oaks. Wing Daddy’s Sauce House is a local favorite for smoked wings with flavors like blackberry habanero and zesty Bloody Mary. Genti’s Ristorante Italiano is a family-owned establishment known for its homemade pastas and specialty pies. Angelina's Don Louis Mexican Restaurant is another popular spot for brisket tacos, margaritas and other Tex-Mex cuisine. Albertson’s and ALDI are in the southern corner of the neighborhood for essentials, and The Shops at Highland Village is 8 miles south, which offers department stores and big-box retailers. Denton Town Center is 5 miles north and features a bigger selection of stores and dining chains.
Meadow Oaks’ quiet, tree-lined streets are filled with ranch-style homes and two-story traditional brick and stone houses. Most were built in the early 2000s, but several properties are also under construction. Prices range from the low-$300,000s for a 1,600-square-foot three-bedroom to the high-$400,000s for a 2,400-square-foot four-bedroom. “The relative affordability here is better than what you would find in other nearby localities, like Coppell and Flower Mound,” says Realtor Jeannie Seth of Ebby Halliday Realtors, who has served the area for over 20 years. “In this market right now, that’s huge.” Most properties have multi-car garages, spacious, paved driveways and covered back patios. Some of the higher-priced dwellings have in-ground pools. Lot sizes average around 8,000 square feet. “People maintain their properties well,” Seth says. Homes also tend to go fairly quickly here, selling within 26 days on the market, lower than the national average of 44 days.
Lake Dallas Independent School District serves the area and is the eighth-best district in Denton County, according to Niche. Students can attend Corinth Elementary, which offers an AlphaBEST Extended Day after-school program and has a B-minus Niche rating, followed by Lake Dallas Middle, which scores a B. Kids can finish their primary education at the B-rated Lake Dallas High, which offers a program for students interested in teaching and football and basketball teams.
The Meadow Oaks Homeowners’ Association organizes several events for residents, including an annual National Night with first responders, community cleanups and regular movie nights at Meadow Oaks Park. Corinth also hosts various events, such as an annual Halloween bash, Boots & Brews, a country music festival held in November; Christmas at the Commons; Shamrock and Roll in March; and the Agora Music Fest, a music series held May through July featuring local artists.
Interstate 35E runs along Meadow Oaks’ eastern edge, providing access to the rest of the area. Dallas is 34 miles away, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is 19 miles away and Fort Worth is a 38-mile drive. There aren’t any bus stops within the neighborhood, but Denton County Transportation Authority provides a train station in Highland Village, 6 miles south. Medical City Denton is the closest hospital, 3 miles north. The commuter rail system passes through Corinth.
Along Interstate 35E is the small neighborhood of Fairview in the small town of Corinth. Corinth itself is located along Lewisville Lake, about 30 miles from downtown Dallas. Lake Dallas High School and Corinth Elementary School are within walking distance in the community, along with a smaller commercial section to the south. Corinth is part of the Lake Dallas Independent School District, which is graded an overall B-plus by Niche. There is a small commercial section along the interstate, and a corner park close to the elementary school.
Walking the streets reveals a collection of New Traditional and ranch-style homes. Some of the homes have been renovated, and there are a few new homes being built throughout Fairview. Sidewalks are littered in the community, and most homes have attached garages. These homes tend to be in tidy arrangements, with modestly sized lawns that are often landscaped. A few homeowner associations scattered throughout Fairview but are a mixture of mandatory and voluntary associations. “My clients appreciate being able to do whatever they want with their property,” says broker Josiah Ford of Team Ford Realtors. New Traditional homes range from $385,000 for one built in 1997 to $605,000 for one built in 2022. Ranch-style homes are smaller, with prices ranging from $275,000 to $395,000. “Housing prices are comparable to nearby areas,” Ford says. In Fairview, prices are lower compared to the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex area.
There is a commercial section along the southern section, including grocery stores Albertsons and ALDI. Next to Albertsons are local restaurants Lake Cities Cafe, serving American diner fare, and Mike’s Bakery, with a variety of baked goods. Pho Asian Star and Maria’s Mexican Restaurant are smaller restaurants that sit next to each other in a strip mall. Golden Triangle Mall has over 60 stores and is about 6 miles north on Interstate 35E.
The City of Corinth has seasonal events, such as Howl-O-Ween Bash, Christmas at the Commons and the Agora Music Fest Concert Series. These events often take place at the Commons at Agora, directly across the street from the city center. Within the neighborhood, First Baptist Corinth hosts a Trunk or Treat on October 31.
The Lake Dallas Independent School District operates three elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. Students in Fairview can begin at Corinth Elementary School, which is graded a B-minus by Niche. Students can then attend Lake Dallas Middle School and Lake Dallas High School, both of which earn a grade of B from Niche. Lake Dallas High School has over 15 sports and offers dual enrollment with North Central Texas College.
Fairview Park sits at the intersection of South Garrison Road and Cliff Oates Drive with a playground and green space with picnic tables scattered throughout. Nearby Meadow Oaks Park has a playground with a paved path surrounding it. There is also a pavilion and green space for impromptu sports. Closer to downtown, Corinth Community Park is the largest park in the city, and has several athletic fields, including soccer fields and baseball diamonds. From Westlake Park in Hickory Creek, about 4 miles south, campers have lake access with a boat ramp and shoreline fishing access.
Interstate 35E acts as the eastern border for Fairview, leading further into Dallas and continuing south. While the Denton County Transportation Authority runs the A-train through Corinth, there are no stops within the city proper. Residents can drive to the Denton or Lewisville stops to catch a train heading further south into Dallas.
