It’s hard to say what exactly is the main draw to Eden Park. It could be the two elementary schools, which are both within walking distance of neighborhood homes. Eden Park’s residential streets are arranged in a tight grid, with small but well-tended lots that lend this neighborhood an easygoing but walkable feel somewhere between urban and suburban. Trees shade the sidewalks at uneven intervals, and driveways with detached garages sit to the side of most homes. “I just sold my niece a home in Eden Park, and one of the biggest selling points for her was the sense of community,” says Bruce Lane, a team lead of the Lane Ceceri Group who has owned and sold homes in the area. “And it’s very quaint. The houses are a little closer together, but you have these classic designs. It’s kind of got that Norman Rockwell feel, especially in the winter,” he says, conjuring images life in the 20th century. Signature New England home styles are in abundance, from quaint Cape Cods and bungalows to narrow Colonial Revivals and Dutch Colonials. Some ranch-style and bi-level homes from the latter half of the 20th century can also be found here.
