In town, a range of historic, colorful Victorians and bungalows dot the street, reminiscent of the former glory days, while a mix of contemporary homes and large modern log cabins are scattered throughout the mountainous rolling hills. “Everyone wants a log cabin in the mountains, so you’ll see more wooden-style homes, but there are still a lot of ranch-style and custom-built homes around here,” Roshek says. The median price for a single-family home hovers around the mid $300,000s with an average lot size just over 1 acre.
