Time stands still, residents keep moving
The historic New England area of Plymouth was home to inventors like Eli Terry, who made the mass production of clocks possible. The nearby community of Terryville was named in honor of Eli Terry's son, Eli Terry Jr. The concept of time is woven into the area, as you can feel the echoes of its Colonial beginnings in every quintessentially New England brick and stone. Detailed murals depicting the town's local history are splashed colorfully across Terryville's walls, and you'll find Civil War landmarks sprinkled throughout. According to local historian Matt Malley, that's all part of the appeal.
Many designs for wide price ranges
Homes in Terryville date as far back as the early 1900s. Colonial Revival, Cape Cod, ranch-style, Prairie-style and bungalow houses can all be found in the area. There are also plenty of townhomes and condominiums, and home prices range from $128,000 to $575,000.

Visitors will encounter a Copper Beech tree, a rare Kentucky coffee tree and a pin oak grown from an acorn taken from the Constitution Oak on Plymouth Green. Locals also gather at the park for the annual summer concert series.

I love the small town feel Terryville has. My kids go to school here and the teachers even in the higher grades know my kids by name. Everyone is very welcoming.

I like that it's a small town but I would like to see it easier to access and with a wider variety of restaurants, etc.

It's a great town, small, quiet, with good schools and public officials who really care about the town and its residents.
