Older homes surrounded by trees sell quickly
Sidewalks line most of the streets in Cuyahoga View. While the northern part of the neighborhood features small, grassy lawns dotted with oaks, properties farther south have more space filled with a dense forest of trees. Most of the homes are older, built between the 1920s and 1950s. Cape Cods and Tudor Revivals neighbor Colonial Revivals and ranch styles. Prices generally range from $200,000 to $350,000, depending on location. Part of the draw of Cuyahoga View is the number of parks nearby. The sprawling Keyser Park features baseball fields, basketball and tennis courts, a playground and a dog park. Cuyahoga Valley National Park offers about 125 miles of hiking trails, about 6 miles from the neighborhood, and other trails are much closer. Cascade Valley Metro Park is within 1 mile of the neighborhood. “We’ve enjoyed going there because they have different lengths of trails,” says Morganti, who frequents the Overlook Trailhead at the park. While residents can enjoy the views of Babb Run Wildlife and Bird Sanctuary from their homes, the park is currently closed.Cuyahoga View’s current and upcoming K-12 facilities
Cuyahoga Falls City School District serves the neighborhood. Richardson Elementary School earns a B from Niche, and Bolich Middle School receives a C. Cuyahoga Falls High School, which has a C-plus, offers career and technical education programs like business management and criminal justice through the Six District Educational Compact. The district is building a new sixth through 12th-grade campus to replace middle and high schools. Private schools include the B-plus-rated Walsh Jesuit High School. Cuyahoga Falls hosts several events throughout the year, ranging from casual festivities like Flix on the Falls to annual celebrations like Oktoberfest. Blossom Music Center is about 7 miles away. “Paul McCartney’s been there, you know, everyone that you would expect,” Morganti says. Besides big-name concerts, the venue also hosts the Blossom Festival, a summer celebration headlined by the Cleveland Orchestra.Major highways and public transportation lead to Akron
State Route 8 is the closest highway, leading about 4 miles to Downtown Akron. It merges with Interstate 77. People can also travel to Akron via the Akron Metro Regional Bus Transit Authority bus system. Akron-Canton Airport is about 17 miles away and offers direct flights to over 20 cities across the county. Many residents will travel about 40 miles to Cleveland Hopkins International. Cuyahoga View is about 2 miles from some of the city’s most popular shopping districts. Downtown Cuyahoga Falls is filled with locally owned cafes, boutiques and restaurants, many of which offer what Morganti says are beautiful views of the Cuyahoga River. “Front Street is really a big draw,” Morganti says. Missing Mountain Brewing Company is just one option with outdoor seating on the river. Also downtown is the city’s amphitheater and The Natatorium, an indoor gym with an aquatic center that hosts over 60 land and water fitness classes each week. The Giant Eagle Market District is the anchor of Portage Crossing, a shopping district north of the neighborhood. There are also several chain restaurants and a Cinemark. Target, Walmart and Home Depot are all about 4 miles away.
