The Bridgeland educational village is around 10 miles south of the community and has a full educational pathway from kindergarten to high school. Wells Elementary has a gifted and talented program, while Sprague Middle was named to the Educational Results Partnership’s Honor Roll list for academic excellence. Once it’s finished, Dunham Pointe will have its own Cy-Fair ISD educational village that will amount to around 146 acres between its three campuses.Shops, restaurants and Houston Premium Outlets
Being so close to U.S. Route 290 means Durham Pointe is directly south of Houston Premium Outlets, which carries brands such as Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors and Versace across 120 stores. Local restaurants found by the highway include Pizzaiolo’s Italian restaurant, the Yoko Japanese Kitchen and the Lupe Tortilla Mexican restaurant, as well as a few chains including Olive Garden, In-N-Out and Wingstop. Local grocery stores include H-E-B, Costco and Kroger, and the Memorial Hermann Cypress Hospital Emergency Center is open for 24 hours. Dunham Pointe is also developing its own 25-acre shopping district north of the community that will have around 50 restaurants and retailers. “Most of the things right next to the highway are going to be offices and commercial development,” Arnwine says. “They’ve got a lot of development that’s still coming, but it’s already accommodating to the homeowners that are already living there.”Pools and splash pads by Cypress Creek
The community currently has an amenity center that includes a family pool with cabanas, a splash pad, a playground, a fitness center and an event space. A few man-made lakes with water fountains can also be found on the community’s east and west ends, and hiking, fishing and birdwatching are popular activities south by the Cypress Creek and Lake.Houston travel through U.S. 290
U.S. Route 290 provides a straight shot into Houston around 30 miles southeast. Metro buses offer rides downtown from the Cypress Park & Ride station by the hospital, and merging onto the Sam Houston Tollway will take drivers 35 miles west to the George Bush Intercontinental Airport. “290 is a highway that connects you to all of the other ones,” Arnwine says. “If you keep going down, you’ll hit 610 and I-10, and if you go the opposite way, you’ll hit U.S. 90. It has access to everything.”Large luxury homes down Mason Road
Mason Road serves as the only entry point into the community with luxury homes broken up into multiple subdivisions to the south around Jacks Road. Most of the single-family homes are 2,000-5,000-square feet with quarter-acre lots, sidewalks and architecture reflecting a range between traditional and contemporary styles. One-story properties cost around $400,000 and $600,000, while larger two-story homes with four-car garages will range between $600,000 and $900,000. Larger homes in the $1-$1.5 million range will have additional amenities such as decks, walk-in closets and home theaters as well.
