Victory Park

Sports and music at American Airlines Center
The American Airlines Center is the centerpiece of the Victory Park neighborhood and has earned a reputation of one of the best places for sports and entertainment in Dallas. The center, located on Victory Avenue, is the home of the NBA Dallas Mavericks and NHL Dallas Stars and has hosted hundreds of musicians. “I live close by, and I can wait until 30 minutes before a game, jump on Stub Hub and get a great ticket for next nothing,” Mowad says. Even when there are no games or shows at AAC, there is plenty for locals to do nearby, whether it is checking out the dinosaur exhibit at The Perot Museum of Nature and Science on North Field Street or attending a comedy routine at the House of Blues on North Lamar Street.Directly across from American Airlines Center, Hero by HG is a massive sports bar with six full-service bars, a private lounge, and high-end twist-on bar favorites like chicken tenders and burgers. Victory Park Lane is filled with more local favorite bars and restaurants, like Mesero, which is known for its signature tacos. Right across the street, Billy Can Can styles itself after an old saloon with a modern twist and serves cocktails, steak and seafood. Locals looking to stock their kitchens instead of eating out can stop by Tom Thumb on Live Oak Street or pick up artisan goods at the Dallas Farmers Market on South Hardwood Street, which is open every day of the week.

High-rise condos next to Dallas hotspots
Homebuyers seeking the urban high-rise lifestyle will be in luck in Victory Park. The area has almost no detached homes and is instead occupied by dozens of condo and apartment complexes. Condos in Victory Park offer a range of amenities such as concierge service, terrace views, spas and fitness centers. A one-bedroom condo can cost between $500,000 to $700,000, while a multi-bedroom luxury unit starts at $1 million and goes up to $2 million. Depending on the building, condo owners can also expect to pay monthly complex fees ranging from $300 to over $2,000.Travel by bus, trolley or train with DART
Living in Victory Park not only provides quick access to Interstate 35, but also several public transit options. Dallas Area Rapid Transit has variegated bus stops among the busy streets like McKinely Avenue, light rail routes that depart from Victory Station and a trolley system that travels up McKinely Avenue to take riders from Victory Park to Oak Lawn. Victory Park is also within 5 miles of Dallas Love Field Airport and some of the best healthcare in the city at Dallas’s medical district.
A peaceful stroll on Katy Trail
Pike Park on Harry Hines Boulevard is over a century old and has a baseball field, basketball court, playground, and pavilion. The park is also connected to Mavs Ballpark, which is home to Heroes Baseball. This youth baseball park features a turf field, dugouts, and a professional-style stadium that lets kids live out their big-league dreams. Across the street from Pike Park, Katy Trail South Trailhead offers access to a well-maintained trail along one of the city’s beloved greenbelts.College-level education through Dallas Schools
Families living in Victory Park are served by the Dallas Independent School District and can send their children to schools like Mt. Auburn Elementary School and Thomas J. Rusk Middle School, which both earn a C-plus on Niche. North Dallas High School has a B-minus on Niche. The school’s P-Tech program allows students to take up to 60 tuition-free college hours in STEM courses through Dallas College Brookhaven. Victory Park is also just a mile away from the University of North Texas System campus.
