With scenic views of Long Island Sound, premier golf courses and community beach access, every day in Darien feels like a luxury vacation. According to Antonio Salerno of RE/MAX Heritage Darien's location is one of the perks. "A lot of commuters gravitate to the area," he says. Salerno has been selling homes in the region for 16 years. He adds that the area has a bedroom community vibe to it. "Darien is a great community with a great location," he adds.

The highly rated Darien Public Schools system offers students at all seven of its institutions a nationally recognized music program, which includes everything from traditional chorus ensembles to a string “rockestra.” Royle Elementary School, Middlesex Middle School and Darien High School all have at least an A grade from Niche. There are also four colleges in the area including the University of Bridgeport.
