Several restaurants and shopping plazas are within walking distance, as well as the Bamford Sports Complex, where family-friendly events are held throughout the year.

Those interested in a private option may consider the A-plus-rated Nova Southeastern University School, a college preparatory academy serving grades PK-12. Located a mile away on the campus of its namesake university, the school features award-winning Robotics and Chinese programs, as well as one of the top-ranked Speech and Debate programs in the country.
