Relaxing with ease at Pine Island Ridge

Pine Island Ridge residents get water views and can watch golfers play along the Pine Island Ridge Course without paying millions for a lake or beach house. Multiple pools and clubhouses sit scattered throughout the different communities, allowing residents to sit back and relax with their neighbors. Shopping centers wait within driving, biking and walking distance in the north part of the neighborhood. Some might move in to enjoy an easier 13-mile commute to Fort Lauderdale, and others might choose Pine Island Ridge for the convenient amenities, but everyone here gets a quiet community, popular nearby schools and stunning views. “The area is accessible because the 595 is right there and there’s shopping a couple of miles east by South University Drive,” says Theresa McCrillis, the broker at MCR Real Estate Sales & Property Manager, LLC. “The downside is the options are primarily condos, and there are cheaper options nearby.”

Condos on the water and single-family homes with pools

Condo complexes and townhouses with Spanish-inspired designs line most of the streets in Pine Island Ridge, but future homeowners can find single-family units along the southern part of the neighborhood in Oak Knoll Ridge. Most of the single-family homes feature pools in the backyards, attached garages and moderate yards. Homebuyers can expect to pay $200,000 to $400,000 for a condo or townhouse, while a single-family home might sell for $650,000 to $775,000. “Because the homes are mostly condos, residents don’t own the land the homes sit on, and they have to pay HOA fees,” McCrillis says. The Pine Island Ridge golf course winds around the condos and townhouses, with the clubhouse sitting near the tennis courts along Pine Ridge Drive. Large ponds surround the Sabal Palm Condos, making residents feel like they’re living on an island. Sidewalks line the streets near the single-family homes and around some of the condo complexes, giving residents an open path for jogging or walking their dogs.
