A quieter Davie neighborhood in between major roads

With some of the lowest prices on the east side of Davie and wedged between Davie Road and Florida's Turnpike, the Playland Village neighborhood is a residential spot with proximity to all that greater Miami offers. Here, residential streets with a variety of single-family and multi-family housing are just a short walk or drive away from the wide variety of shopping and dining in downtown Davie. Area school districts and universities are also close by. “Playland Village is a great mixture of Davie's old country influence combined with a modern-day look at the same time maintaining its hometown western ambiance,” says Andrew O’Boyle, team leader of FamilyANDyFun Realtors who has been serving the Davie community for almost 30 years.

Surrounded by bustling Florida roads

The Playland Village area is south of Interstate 595 and north of Griffin Road. With all these main thoroughfares less than a mile away, it's an ideal location for accessing Davie or swinging into downtown Fort Lauderdale. For trips outside of the state, the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is 9 miles to the east. The HCA Florida University Hospital is about 2 miles to the west for residents seeking medical care.

Delights in Davie and Miami

Locals can enjoy a night out in Davie at Miller’s Ale House, commonly known as the Davie Ale House, which “is a great place to enjoy a meal and some entertainment,” O’Boyle says. The restaurant offers a classic sports bar feel and serves their famous chicken tenders known as Zingers. Locals can also head to downtown Miami to enjoy restaurants like Ossobuco, which has a modern style and features an open-fire grill and a wide variety of meat and vegetable dishes. For groceries, locals can head north to the nearby Publix or head to Trader Joe's at the Tower Shops Shopping Mall.
